Model S Plaid Paint Evaluation After Crash - Should We Go Back In And Fix It?

- The Out of Spec Detailing channel started with a full paint correction and protection process of @KyleConner's Tesla Model S Plaid. Shortly after the work was completed the car was involved in an accident that didn't damage the paint too badly but the car needed to get worked on and go through repairs. Through this process water spots baked into the ceramic coating and micro scratches and imperfections were understandably added into the paint. In this video we go through the paint condition and decide whether we should remove the ceramic coating and re-correct the paint or if we should just leave it.

Colton is like the alchemist of detailing. Very informative 👏
I don't know why this is so therapeutic to watch. It's just a simple maintenance wash but now I'm motivated to clean my own car. lol
Thanks for showing us why not to buy a black car. That goes for the borrowed Rivian also.
I love this! Can't wait to see the final results :)
I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
i hope Coleton never sees my car 😅
So funny...Kyle wasn't brave enough to bring it in dirty with the bugs from the trip. He was afraid you would have a heart attack. It looked rough after the road trip.
Cars can always be cleaned! They are meant to be used, and that’s why we put protection on them 😁
@@OutofSpecDetailing You are beyond good. More like a magician of detailing!
What are your thoughts on whether ceramic coatings make water spotting worse? One argument for Graphene formulations is that they reduce this issue?
Great video idea/topic!
why is this dude wearing a hoodie when it's 80F outside?!
Why not blow drying over towel drying?
Typically find that initial towel drying is more efficient than trying to blow dry the entire car. It definitely can be done, but much prefer the towel dry then blow dry all of the cracks and crevices.
❤
Wow the paint looks horrible now lol. Thats why i never buy black cars every little miniscratch or watermark is just so visible.
You go and fix and then they will scratch another side (it happens only at Tesla). Not worth it.
