A plea to the UK media: PLEASE let Emma be Emma. Allow her to focus on her career so her love for tennis can remain undimmed.
If she doesn’t do well in the next few tournaments and Aussie Open please cut her some slack… she’s still learning and developing… I say this because the UK media love to build up and knock down people. They must learn to be patient. Emma’s got the right attitude and natural talent to be consistently winning slams and tour events for years to come.

      @@richardjohnson1493 Really??
If that is the case they wouldn't of gone insane when she got to the 4th round of Wimbeldon earlier this year saying getting this far is fantastic- should be so proud etc-so UK Media would not call a QF a failure!
+ also when people like Tim Henman got in many QF media never called that a failure and rightly so!

I am sure there are plenty of Emma’s who started early as 5-7 yr olds and have been playing the game for a decade and more. The hard skills, technique among these players will more or less be similar through proper professional coaching.
What differentiates Emma with others would be her poise, grace, managing stress, managing mental state, intelligence, in fact all the soft skills you are born with which are difficult to train, off course her pedigree from multi country parents have its own impacts.
