    Got to love this beautiful young girl ! she sounds as if she is sick, but answering to these press conference are spot on mature . Emma is a practical realistic person. Classy girl . Love her.

      She really does have a huge amount of likeability factor as well as being a very talented tennis player. We need to all continue to support her fully on her learning journey and hopefully she will develop into the top 10 player we want her to be.

    Emma is so mature!
    As she said "Brush it off"
    It's not a big deal, nobody can't win every single match!
    Stay safe and happy, Emma!

      There's no doubt in my mind that Emma has all the attributes to win another slam despite her doubters. The mental strength that she showed to win the US Open was truly remarkable for a young girl and suggests to me that she will continue to astonish us in the future.

    Winning your first two WTA tour matches will still be a huge positive for her and reaching the quarter finals is a pretty good achievement for Raducanu who's still relatively new to the WTA tour.

      Yeah it was big for her to get those wins cause I’m sure the media and a bunch of people will be putting even more pressure on her.

    Her demeanor during this press conference is so much more positive compared to her R1 Indian Wells loss. You can tell she's not taking this loss to hard. Still in high spirits. Maybe because of the super warm reception from the Romanian organizers, media, staff and fellow players. Good for her.

    • @boke75
      @boke75 3 роки тому

      Maybe because Emma was thrashed 2 and 1 she was able to brush it off a lot easier compared to IW.

    I am glad emma is taking it lightly this time. I think the difficult phase of that USO euphoria has finally passed, it's part of her learning experience. Then yes she should just cool down, get refreshed, choose a new coach for the pre-season training and focus, that's all she needs to get back to her best form again. No more red carpet, no more distractions.

    Honestly it's amazing some of these people are paid to ask questions of tennis players... When a player said they weren't on top form there's no need to ask questions like 'did your previous match play on your mind'. All dealt with with consummate ease though :) Can't imagine how knackering this must be - first proper season, after the craziness of New York. I would melt under the pressure, for sure.

    Kostyuk is a really good player but it is concerning how one sided the match was. Hercog had her on the ropes as well and she is regularly beaten on ITF tournaments by low ranked opponents - I hope a new team can get her to find her form again, the honeymoon period is short lived on the WTA and the media will crush her if she doesn't perform.

    Probably not a good idea to combine a holiday with a tournament; and probably hard to 'get up again' when going from the 'ritzy' glamour and packed atmosphere of Arthur Ashe to the morgue-like centre court in Transylvania. And it's probably all the extra-curricular activity that is running her down - she needs to get her life back.

    • @MrQ454

  • @legend9335
    @legend9335 3 роки тому +3

    If she is feeling a little tired at 18 years of age after a few games what the heck is she going to feel like during a full tour next year. She needs to shrug of the pampering or the diamonds will soon lose their sparkle. Saying her opponent is a great player and and being grateful will wear a bit thin after a while.

      Everything has gone too fast for her, started from rank 330+before June in Wimbledon to 23 in Oct. Can understand the whirlwind she's going thru. Being tired is honest and human

    • @ShahidKhan-ke8fe

      She's just riding the crest till the end of the year. Don't worry, she'll be fine and roaring to go after a Xmas break. Don't forget, her body hasn't fully matured to the rigours of the WTA tour. I'm giving her 6 months to a year leeway to adjust. Then she'll make her move to the Top 10. Onwards and upwards, Emma !
