I don't think they offer the same service any longer. I called just a couple days ago and the gentleman named Orlando said I had to send my amp to see what was wrong and to see how much they'll charge to fix.
They don't do that now. I bought 2 xtr 2500.1dz amps and one went out and I had the hcca 8000.1. tried to get the 2500.1 fixed and they told me they don't have a repair shop anymore. Little do you know they got bought out by another company last year and they changed the entire warranty department. Basically I sent the hcca back for a full refund and I'm not wasting my money on something you promise to fix if it goes out. Spend the extra money and get something else.
I'd add one more battery on that and wire amp to 1/2 ohm. I had mine wired to .25 for years with no issues. If you need that power for whatever your running I'd go for it
I had pretty much this same experience but with my alt from mechman. I sent them a hand written letter telling them that I was very impressed with their customer service and that 2 of their employees that I spoke were were doing a fantastic job. (I mentioned them by name). some companies are just amazing.
The vast majority of amplifiers are made by a handful of "manufacturers", in reality there are a lot of different brands with the exact same electronics inside. This includes Rockford Fosgate Prime and Power series. Spend your money how you will, be loyal to who you want.
Agreed! But...I have 2 Orion XTR 200s. @4 ohms 100 watts x 2, .005 THD, 10hz - 100khz +-.5 dB, output damping > 1000,112 dB signal to noise, on 28 amps / 13.6 volts = an incredibly accurate sweet sound!

I called Orion .the 2000.4 and .2 are class a/b amp. Actually has decent specs.grwat power. It is def upper. On scale for sq.not phoenix gold sqvut still great
Would you possibly have the address you sent your amp to? I am a victim of ebay fraud. I sold my Orion Xtr2500.1Dz I purchased on November 8 only for the reason ls of upgrading to an hcca 8000v2. The buyer fried my amp and sent it back to me and won't the PayPal dispute.
That ebay fraud hit me as well but in my case it was the seller who took my change. To me there appeared to be an inverted loophole where certain greedy sellers could participate in a type of fraud that gives the seller not only your payment but he also ends up with the chance of reacquiring the product as a return by intentionally shipping it to a different address in the same zip code with the hopes of having the unintended recipient return to seller. Tracking will show delivery to your City/Zip/Time/Date but not what address giving seller "proof/evidence" that you received the item. Ebay brings this up on their site but it reads as being biased toward sellers while pushing the perpetration onto buyers. It makes me wonder if having the buyers and sellers question each other as to who screwed who was part of the reasoning when formulating the Ebay help section fraud articles. This allows the sly fox to creep in and collect some more wool.
always salivated over Orion amps since the early 90s.. yet, in 2024, they need to innovate the connecting points, end-caps and reclaim their one-stop-drop and win all the trophies days. Explanation: destructive screws for wires could (instead of being basic screws) be a new type of python clamp that doesn't destroy the wires every time they're secured and also provide a better connection and stronger pressured force around the entire circumference of every wire. End caps need to be metal...Heat syncs could be deeper, fin'ier, more artistic....and the entirety should be anodized in the same bath for consistency... Their remote is long overdue for a revamp... so may ways to go, bluetooth, voltage + clipping lights, notched pot. Speaking of potentiometers, the gain and other pots all need to be either push-in/pop-outs but also notched as well so we don't need to be poking it with a screwdriver in the dark when things go off during a long road trip. Overall, their components are top quality but they haven't innovated anything really since the 80's and that's a shame. This would obviously raise the cost, but they could also bring back purple, and polished versions as they have in the past, and if any company should do this, it should be Orion....or Rockford Fosgate but RF has never been half as elegant as Orion has. my .02 cents :)🐢

Ya and even at 12.6v they do over rated power, give them 15v and you get a ton more.

Orion does make the best Amps I just wish they came with optical in.

Do you know whats the difference between the 5000.1dv2 and the 5000.1splx? Which one between the 2 is more on the daily musical side?
The splx can handle half ohm better because of the extra input. Easier to pull the current needed at that resistance.
