  • How do you paint a landscape? Today we look at examples by Alexej von Jawlenski lamdscapes. Jawlenski is one of the founding members of the Blue rider art movement or , in German, Der Blaue Reiter. Jawlenski landscapes look strange because of the colors he uses. These landscapes are from the beginning of the abstract painting and colors was one of the main things the blue rider art movement experimented with. And also simplifying the image they were painting as that is part of abstracting.
    Materials
The art materials I use in the videos are not sponsored.
I prefer to work on multi-purpose paper, more info in this video: • How to choose the RIGH...
In almost all my videos I use with Winsor&Newton Galeria acrylics, if not, I will say so in the video.
Other materials I use are in random order: 5, 10 and 40mm brushes, palette knives, acrylics medium, Ecoline liquid watercolor, Lyra color pencils, Lyra soft pastels, oil pastels, Stabilo color pencils, paper palette pad and basic masking tape. I also use household items like a permanent marker, scrub sponge, scissors, paper towel, and so on.

I'm convinced that you could stick Albert in the middle of the Artic, the Sahara Desert, the Amazon basin or the Bolivian Altiplano with no art supplies whatsoever, and he'd still manage to make great artworks out of something. He sees art in everything and makes art from anything. Not only that but he encourages everyone to make art and teaches them about the process and inspiration of each artist and artistic movement. (There's a few good reasons to subscribe to his channel ) Thanks Albert. 👍

I love the bold simple forms and strong colours. Also enjoys seeing the students' work - they are all so different but you can still see the influence of the artist. Am itching to paint one myself. Than you.

If anyone had asked me a year ago what’ type of painting would you stay away from painting I would have said a landscape however through your tutorials I have found myself painting things I have never painted before. I love the way you break it down and make art accessible for all . Thanks as always Albert.

It is a very good way of thinking how should art process: just by roughly enjoying it ! And get composition from own photography and later on edit with imagination is so insipritional !
