The roast was fantastic-lots of hilarious comedians. Loved every minute of it. BUT, Greg Giraldo was the absolute GOAT when it came to roasting. A brilliant writer and an absolute SAVAGE.

Agreed. Tony had top written jokes, but they sounded like anyone could use them and kill, they didn‘t feel like uniquely his. Nikki‘s delivery makes those roasts her own.
Part of me HOPES that Tony is elevated to “Roast Master” and/or Jeff Ross passes the torch over to him…

YES, "anyone can CALL themselves roastmaster," but it will NOT be TRUE for the vast majority of people.
Jeff Ross has had numerous appearances at celebrity roasts, hence the name/title.
As these roasts continue, Tony should be MORE involved, and given the opportunity to either HOST them, or at least be in attendance more frequently.
Jeff Ross will eventually fade into retirement, and that's when Tony would be the guy who frequents these events in his place.

It is NOT an "official title," but more of an indication of who we look forward to seeing MOST at these events.

The only reason I set a reminder on Netflix for the Tom Brady Roast was because I saw a promo clip with Tony Hinchcliffe in a suit and assumed he was hosting it…..
