The Canadian subs aren't too intrusive in this episode, but in some of them they're unbearable. They even spoil the punchline to some of the jokes TFS makes before they happen.
Even normal subtitles can do that if you read them faster than the words being spoken, since a lot of jokes can depend on the timing and delivery in addition to what's being said.
I don’t think this is the Canadian sub. I feel like I remember the Canadian subs adding a lot more sarcastic remarks and whatnot. This just seems word for word I could be wrong though

After a certain point in the future, they start adding a lot of stuff on their own, and it becomes really hard to focus on the actual subtitles. Especially not recommended when youre discussing within yourselves while watching it as well.
True, they're already missing stuff all the time. But if they actually cared about that, they'd generally focus on the episodes more. They've also made it very clear that they don't give a fuck, apparently just because they feel like it, so I don't think distractions matter to them at all.

TFS makes Goku's arrivals hype in their own way by just maximizing the potential humor with his off-beat thinking. Freeza kept playing when it comes to power, but he suffered some serious mental damage.
DON'T USE CANADIAN SUBS. They're funny on subsequent watches, but often contain references and spoilers so you really shouldn't use them on your first run. Trust me they can literally ruin some of the best moments and jokes in Abridged.
the slow descent into madness for frieza thanks to goku being goku is just karma coming back to bite frieza. it´s the best part of the namek saga for me
Frieza may have mocked the Kaioken Kamehameha here, but in the actual anime, that was the first moment when Goku actually sort of pushed him against the wall. Or at least enough so for Frieza to realize that he needs to start taking the fight a little bit more seriously.

Goku somehow blowing up that perfectly shaped spot in the ground? Never again. Also power levels arent mentioned again in the canon series after this. The numbers would get stupid high so toriyama just said screw it

Power levels - Goku base: ~3 million. He's been fighting Frieza with a near-constant Kaio-ken x10 the entire time, putting him at effectively 30 million. Frieza wasn't even bothered by it. In the scene near the end where he uses Kaio-ken visibly, it's because Goku uses a Kaio-ken x20 to double his power to 60 million. That's why it actually looks like it did something to Frieza, if only making him dirty. I'm not gonna post Frieza's FULL power yet because we haven't seen it on this series, but it's ridiculous. Also...power levels are bull-shit anyway.
