This is such a great build! Also, regarding advent calendars: Denmark has so many advent calendars, they are everywhere. I think all of Scandinavia (I could be wrong here) have these TV series (called a Christmas Calendar) that run from the 1st to 24th of December and that have an episode each night for all the days, with a Christmas story of some kind that unfolds. We have around 3-4 of those running each December. Some are new and others a really old, it's a lot of fun.

Lueji Monzein it’s a children’s show mostly aimed at children who know basics as a dog and human and that they help one another I think the colours are stereotypical because at a young age most people teach children that ‘girly colours’ are like pinks and purples, yellows etc.. and boys it’s like blues, oranges, greens etc.. but the colours don’t really mean anything it’s just very colourful for the children’s eyes :) hope that helps
I'd lived in the US almost my entire life and had never heard of or seen an advent calendar until I was maybe 27. Definitely not a big thing where I live.

Advent calendars are very big in Sweden. There is always a tv show and a radio show that do their own advent calendar and have episodes that matches the picture behind every opening. The episodes are very short, cirka 10-15 minutes so it's easy for kids to watch before school. Then there are millions of other advent calendars with both pictures, chocolate, toys and everything else. We don't really have stockings, so this is our thing instead I guess.

I'm British and I've always had an advent calendar. When I was a kid everyone had cheap chocolate ones but in the past few years they have become a huge thing and there are ones for pretty much everything (some of the make up and jewelry ones are £100-1000s). This year I treated myself to a coffee one.
Loved this build so much! I downloaded it and made is an Internet cafe and used your twin townhouses as a combined bar and nightclub!

I would love the ability to make more complex curves with the roofs in the SIms 4. That roof on the bar is nice ... but it could certainly be better with a curve that goes in towards the apex and out down towards the edge. Or visa versa! Basically anything that adds interest.

My family always does advent calendars in one way or another. I’ve never had one with sweets, but as a kid I had advent calendars with littles pet shops, plastic princess jewlery, custom small gifts from my mum etc, and we still do it now; although this years calendars are a loose leaf tea calendar, a coffee bean calendar, and a scratch ticket calendar. Swedes just hecking love advent calendars
yeah we have many different tv calenders too, they run from the 1st too 24 of december, and any store you go to will have advent calenders with candy some of them are kinda expensive.
I think that all of Scandinavia has them, I can't be sure for Sweden tho since i haven't lived there hehe.

In spain we also have advent calendars, but those are only chocolates, every one of them is shaped as a different christmas themed thing and kids love them.
in Canada, advent calendars are big, I can't imagine December without them! Also, there is one main girl on paw patrol but there is also another girl dog (Skye and Everest)
I live in Denmark, and advent calenders are very common. Most commonly filled with chocolate, toys or beauty products. But you also see them with beer, Liquorice, etc.

I edited this build too. I saved and moved it to the smaller "starter home" lot. I moved it to the left and added outdoor tables to the right side with a side door to enter and exit the pub. Made a few changes upstairs, but size-wise, it's the same building. When I went back to map view, I could see both my new lot and the original lot, but my building looks bigger even though it's the same building. Freaky.

Yeah in the UK advent calendars are a must! There are a tonne to choose from. My parents still buy me one every year and I'm 28 years old, and I still love it.

My dad got my brothers and me lego advent calendars once, and you'd get the pieces and the directions to build a little character and the box had a little scene you could place them all on and its was great!

This original bar gives me flashbacks to the sketchy restraunt my friend and our group decided to eat at on a feildtrip for a couple of schools art classess...the bathroom was about as delapitated as our school lmao. We were legit the only people in the hole place..to be fair it was probably noon at the latest because because we got to our destination super early in the morning and the rest of the closest food places were closed till later in the day for somereason. Except for the cafe our teacher was hanging in and the one other restraunt where the other school art classes an teachers were.
I had no idea that America didn't do advent calendars! In the UK they are so big; you can buy them anywhere you go (including corner shops!) and they even have online ones for kids TV channels lol 😂

My family loves advent calendars. At Thanksgiving, my cousins & i always get them from one of our aunts- we are all in our late 20s & 30s now and we still get them. It's the best
04:38 ok can I say something? I found in a cabinet during English class (a long time ago) a picture of the Sherlock pub then I took it, since it's on my wall in my roo. A beautiful b&w photo probably shot by a teacher during a former school trip in London left there in that cabinet. It's funny that 10 years later I see a simmer using this pub as an inspiration for a building in the game
We have Advent Calendars in Canada. You can find them in Dollarstores or Walmart and basically everywhere. I don't think I ever really had them growing up though because I would eat all the chocolate in one day.

i work at a toy store and i find it very important to say there are two girls and the reason there was only one thing of skye (the pink one) is she’s insanely popular. we order 12 skyes and still run out of her in under two weeks- for reference, we order 6 of the other dogs (except chase, he’s also super popular) and it takes us at least a month or two to sell out of them

My grandmother buys us (all of her grandchildren) chocolate advent calendar every year. It's really nice. I have friends who know what they are and like the idea but no one gets them one, or they dont know where to get one for themselves.

Australia...advent calendars are still something I get at 29yrs old. A trolli lollie one. Every year. From my mum. My kids (I have three) make one in a hanging thing with pockets. They put lollies chocolate and marshmallow sticks in it.

Advent calendars are pretty popular in Australia too, which makes sense because it’s similar to England
Here in Denmark everybody has advent kalenders. You can them easily at every grocery store or super market
I just wanted to tell you that because of you I'm getting a dinosaur advent calendar on the 1st of December ❤ j haven't had one in so long and my family doesn't celebrate Christmas anymore except for me so now I have something to look forward to every day ❤
