Kayla's one of my comfort UA-camrs, like ISTG I love her personality so much and I usually put her videos in the background whenever I do work and stuff so it's really nice to have a VOD channel with her just talking about stuff lol. No one cares but it's really reassuring for her to say the same about the background noise stuff.
She's very good at this, jyst chatting away and being interesting, whether it's about the look of her neighbourhood, her 90 day fiancee story, or mocking trolls, I love listening to her every day

After building beautiful Victorian mansions, castels or whatever it's refreshing to build the trailer of messy drug dealer (think Trevor from gta) or a really dirty nightclub for punks. You can just go wild with debug clutter, it's weirdly satisfying to deliberately mess everything up but still sort of make it look aesthetically pleasing
simsie streams are so nice and the community can be so fun but knowing and hearing about the trolls is so upsetting. Simsie and mods work so hard and do such a good job but it sucks that people can be so mean :(
oh man the base house is absolutely beautiful in the way they set up the mess and half-done everything. weird to say but it gave me major VTMB vibes, especially with that vampire den !!!! i really appreciate you adding on different stories with this series ! trying to make it what it would have been if the original lady had finished it is really a neat idea!

When you mentioned being able to 'conjure up' traditional style houses but not modern ones, I have the exact same problem but opposite. I can picture the nicest modern home and can imagine exactly what I want the interiors to look like but if you asked me to make a traditional style home I go blank and just can't do it.

What a cool rebuild!!! California upscaling is becoming super popular! So tiny houses being converted into two story houses. So even though it may feel out of place in game a bit, it’s happening all over in CA IRL!

I missed these so much! Also, in regards to the neighborhood mansions thing, this is sort of the case in the neighborhood I lived in until I was 19. It's your typical suburban neighborhood with one or two story houses, except there's a big brick mansion just across the street. The guy who lives there actually founded and owns a pizza restaurant downtown (though last I heard he's been having health troubles for the past few years). Thankfully, it looks nice and has been there since before I was born.
Actually, here in Quebec, we have a looot of houses like that, all new build around where i live are houses like that and they are just the common type house of most suburbans here!

I love how different where you live is from where I live. Where I'm from, suburban houses are practically non-existent and modern houses are quite common.
I relate so much to loving to fix up things... I fix up all the ingame buildings with the greatest pleasure. And not just in the Sims; I also discovered that my fav playstyle in Minecraft is to just run around, find villages and fix them. Since they generate so horribly, it's so satisfying to fix them. (Sometimes villagers can't even leave their house or cats being generated into walls, etc... ugh)
I love these speedbuilds they're so entertaining for no reason whatsoever lol but i just rewatch them again and again On another note- Its my birthday today 🎉
So there's an area in Toronto that has a lot of beautiful old houses in it. And a lot of them are replaced with these gorgeous modern homes, so I actually have seen houses like that around, and they look so grand and pretty in person.
The original build of this is super incredible and very inspiring (I love seeing and making broken things in the sims because it's so challenging) and I love the renovation as well. I absolutely love modern houses like this!! But I can't build them for the life of me :,) I download a lot of shells off the gallery and decorate them how I usually do and I've tried to learn how to build them but they never end up looking too good. Oh well, I prefer the decorating anyway :,))

I'd love having a warm massive kitchen. I enjoy cooking, I enjoy social cooking and by that I mean it's fun to have my family hanging out helping with the cooking and cleaning, sharing videos, singing together, quoting shows and movies. Ya know all the good things followed by actually enjoying the meal together. So yes it does hurt when people have these amazing kitchens and don't use them. Someday I will have my dream kitchen and hopefully it'll be before I have grandchildren. Although if I have to wait until then, they are gonna have a fun time cooking with me by golly.
One of the last relatable UA-camrs right here! People who spend exorbitant amounts of money on a kitchen that they will never use drive me up the wall. If you can drop this much money on a room that you barely use, you have fully lost touch with reality. Have a small kitchen with a fridge and a microwave if that's all you're gonna use!

There was a fixer-upper house on Zillow near me that I really wish I could have bought and renovated. It was huge with gorgeous mid-century Modern architecture and giant windows and a grove of pine trees around it. Now I want to make that on the sims as realistically as possible, and then renovate it lol.
New idea for a build challenge, take a shell home and you have to use every pack one time in each room. It can be any items from wallpaper all the way to decor. This includes the outside as well.
Do you know what could be a fun challenge for you? Build a traditional blue suburban exterior and try to furnish it like a modern house on the inside! It could be (hopefully) the best of both worlds
The part when she talks about the houses in Naples, FL that's totally what happened where I live in Colorado. Cute little 1910-1930s houses being torn down by rich people to build these weird modern houses!
This kinda gives "nordic luxury home" style vibes for me! This is kind of style house I see in my home country all the time in rich living areas. Nordic people has this really clean and black, white and gray modern style design. It's really interesting considering that this kind of style is not "warm" at all. So it looks really weird almost when it's dead of the winter and this "cold" looking concrete glass house just sits in the middle of the snow. If you ever want, you could do luxury nodric styled house in the sims. And build it with snow covering the ground!

my hometown has a neighborhood that's a lot like the town you were talking about. it used to be a super poor neighborhood but now there's a lot of development because the land is super cheap, so now there's lovely 4 bedroom suburban family homes with 2 car garages next to tiny little houses that are two steps from being condemned
Binging with Babbish did a house tour on AD. He had 3 kitchens. He uses them all. Then again his channel is about cooking. He was recently sponsored by the Sims 4 for cottage living and made some sims dishes.
Honestly, I really appreciate Kayla's work. It doesn't always suit my tastes, true, but her lots are always playable while still being aesthetically pleasing. Plus she's awesome and I love her casual representation and how open she is about her anxiety and stuff

I live in the UK so traditional houses are easier to bring up than modern ones. I also do live in an area that has a lot of antique shops.

So there's an area in Toronto that has a lot of beautiful old houses in it. And a lot of them are replaced with these gorgeous modern homes, so I actually have seen houses like that around, and they look so grand and pretty in person.

The original build of this is super incredible and very inspiring (I love seeing and making broken things in the sims because it's so challenging) and I love the renovation as well. I download a lot of shells off the gallery and decorate them how I usually do and I've tried to learn how to build them but they never end up looking too good. Oh well, I prefer the decorating anyway :,))
You can also destroy the urns/stones out of debug with your sim in Live mode.
I love having stuff like vods or speedbuilds on in the backroom while i do adult things like laundry. Just folded the towels AND made the bed!

I'd love having a warm massive kitchen. I enjoy cooking, I enjoy social cooking and by that I mean it's fun to have my family hanging out helping with the cooking and cleaning, sharing videos, singing together, quoting shows and movies. Ya know all the good things followed by actually enjoying the meal together. So yes it does hurt when people have these amazing kitchens and don't use them. Someday I will have my dream kitchen and hopefully it'll be before I have grandchildren. Although if I have to wait until then, they are gonna have a fun time cooking with me by golly.
One of the last relatable UA-camrs right here! People who spend exorbitant amounts of money on a kitchen that they will never use drive me up the wall. If you can drop this much money on a room that you barely use, you have fully lost touch with reality. Have a small kitchen with a fridge and a microwave if that's all you're gonna use!

There was a fixer-upper house on Zillow near me that I really wish I could have bought and renovated. It was huge with gorgeous mid-century Modern architecture and giant windows and a grove of pine trees around it. Now I want to make that on the sims as realistically as possible, and then renovate it lol.

This kinda gives "nordic luxury home" style vibes for me! This is kind of style house I see in my home country all the time in rich living areas. Nordic people has this really clean and black, white and gray modern style design. It's really interesting considering that this kind of style is not "warm" at all. So it looks really weird almost when it's dead of the winter and this "cold" looking concrete glass house just sits in the middle of the snow. If you ever want, you could do luxury nodric styled house in the sims. And build it with snow covering the ground!

my hometown has a neighborhood that's a lot like the town you were talking about. it used to be a super poor neighborhood but now there's a lot of development because the land is super cheap, so now there's lovely 4 bedroom suburban family homes with 2 car garages next to tiny little houses that are two steps from being condemned

Honestly, I really appreciate Kayla's work. It doesn't always suit my tastes, true, but her lots are always playable while still being aesthetically pleasing. Plus she's awesome and I love her casual representation and how open she is about her anxiety and stuff
