good to see how one can setup your own test with different shapes
but it seams a lot of work to do considering Lightburn already has the tools that you just adjust for all types of material
Also to say store all your good burning settings into the library and make your own profile for each material that came out good
Hi Nick...from Africa - Gambia and recently buy a Atezr Laser machine... and need help in setting to engraved on glasses and other tips...
Thanks for sharing these files, fairly new to the laser game and been searching around for tutorials etc love the videos. Just got a quick question regarding your files on the engrave is there a reason you've used a gradient image. Reason for asking is other tutorials I've seen simply just use the material test feature inside lightburn and that would just fill the boxes up
gradient gives you an idea of best settings for photo engraving.

I upgraded my D1 non pro 10w to 20w and it's doing a strange thing. When its cutting out a box it moves to the left a bit first them cuts making the box the right size but not in the right place, did not have this problem with the 10w, any suggestions? Thanks in advance,

So I’m running the test files on my machine and it cut the square around it but that’s all it’s acting like it’s doing the rest but nothing is showing up.
Increase the power for the labels.
Why not the laser calibration tool built into light burn?
Have you used it? That thing sucks.

Not yet
Thats a lot of work for something that is already built-in to Lightburn. Although Lightburn's material tests won't allow manual label changes but they came out with a new invention awhile back called a pen that creates a solution to that. The built-in functions also allow for a lot more flexibility for the items on the X/Y like freq or LPI. The built-in allows for material testing of a lot more parameters and it only takes like 30 sec to setup and start running.
The only drawbacks to the built-in is you can't manually change the labels (but I do know a few guys with lasers that can use a program like Lightburn to put a label on later anywhere I want) and your forced to rectangles for cut or fill patterns.
So this video isn’t for you. I’ve had my viewers ask how to make their own cards. And I’ve gone over Lightburn’s crappy little built in tool.
I’d suggest staying in your own lane.

Lightburn literally has this built in...why would you even bother making it like this? Laser tools>material test, all done for you!
That tool leaves a lot to be desired. I only use it in a pinch. And this video was to help folks understand Lightburn. If you’re such a guru maybe it wasn’t for you.
