I went with the CBE Engage Hybrid this year and so far it has exceeded expectations. Super well built, great finishes and very easy to setup and adjust. Keep up the good work!
I’ve had a landslyde, dialed, Hogg father, tetra pro, and a cbe 3V pro and I would sell every sight other than the 3V. Absolutely have loved it for hunting! Targets another conversation to be had with different stuff. Love my cbe more than the others the last 2 years I’ve tried!
I have zero brand loyalty. When I decide that I need something, I go to the archery shop and ask the tech/owner "what is the best blank that money can buy". So far, I have not been disappointed in the gear I have purchased. Conversely, I will not spend top dollar on hunting clothes. Years ago, I bought an inexpensive, insulated camouflage coverall from a local hardware store and it keeps me warmer than the high end clothing from Kuiu, First Lite, or Sitka - at a fraction of the cost.
I've run the CBE Engage Hybrid for the last two years, 3 pin, .010" fiber, on a v3 31. I hunt, do 3d, and target with the rig. It's a damn good sight. Can not recommend enough!
Tim have you tried running it at 30,40,50 to see if your pins can spread a smidgen? Then just get used to where u have to shoot to hit 20, about 3 to 4 inches low aiming with your 30. That's how I set up my 3 pin and it has helped alot. Thanks for sharing man
Just got mine in on Saturday, leveled on Sunday at bow shop and went right to the range afterwards just to go home and take apart my Carter wise choice because of hang fires. Lovin the Sight so far. So much lighter then my Hybrid Engage Pro
I plan on getting one and running 27, 40, and 50yd pins, with some sort of stop for 60yds that the second distance mark will hit. That covers every shot I am willing to take while hunting, and all I have to do is take the stop off and I can practice until I get clearance issues. I run a ascent verdict single pin this year and just had a situation where I was in a ground blind, had a buck walk by at 60(my max distance), but the blind was too dark to see the tape and set the sight properly. By the time I had gotten the bow into enough light to see, make the adjustment, and come to full draw, he turned into a corn field and was gone.
It is a nice sight, but when I tested it had a few other misses for me. I would like to customize the pin colors and sizes, as red doesn't show well for me with color vision impairment. As you mentioned the sight alignment was not straight... The challenge for me was they do not offer the sight in a direct mount and have no plans to do so at this time. Other than that, the sight is nice and clean as you stated Tim. I will keep an eye out for your end-of-season wrap-up of the gear you used for hunting.
I love that sight. Also you can usually find one used for 150-180 used. I have 2 of them and paid under 170 each. Plus I dropped my bow out of a tree stand a couple of weeks ago and watched the bow land sight first onto a limb ten feet below. No issues
Tim I absolutely love my CBE engage hybrid. Its very similar to this sight! the hash marks are a little small but the rigid tapes and smooth wheel are killer. love the content and vid editing, like the style for sure. keep it up.
I had a landslyde and thought it was ok but the locking knob was in the way when dialing up and down and the head was sloppy. CBE makes good stuff as well as Spott Hogg and Montana Black gold. Wouldn’t mind trying a new option sight. Ps I am running a fast Eddie XL with a Ultraview 2 pin
Cool video tim. I shoot a spot Hogg fast Eddie xl wt a shrewd optum 35mm scope wt a shrewd rod for adjustments and a shrewd 4 power lens. It fits great in my bridge lock. You can move your pin in 8 places. Helpful for 3D.
Awesome review! Been really considering the 3 pin Trek Pro, but I prefer the horizontal pins. This sight has several features that I think make it more appealing than most of the other options at this price point: Metal sight tapes, sight tape is on the left side of the riser (I don’t understand having it on the right at all), tool-less micro windage & elevation, hard stop for the slider, the ability to micro-adjust the pins individually in the housing (for the horizontal pin version), 0.010 pin option, dual indicators, and the list goes on.. surprised this sight isn’t talked about more.
Nice review Tim. I have a Trek Pro also and really like it. I would suggest that if anyone is planning on using the rheostat, the battery seems to drain even when off. At least mine does, so take extra batteries.
I’ve been watching you for a while now. and man I got to say I love the progress, you’ve came a long way! And I just want to say nothing agents Dan but I like your content.
Blackgold dual trac best sight ever built hands down nothing u dont need and everything u do sleek and micro my #1 by far cant wait to see what ultra view guys release in few days hopefully its gonna be a banger sight bar to go with there scopes
Keep it up brother!!! Love the channel. Im running the Redline movable since MFJJ did a review a while back. I look forward to all of your content!! Keep it up!!!! 100K!!!!!!
I love my Apex gear covert power dot single pin slider sight. I know it's a mouth full for sure but it's made me a better shooter and drastically increased my indoor open class scores at my local indoor League shoots. And the best part is it doesn't cost $500.00 bucks 👍🏹🎯. I got the whole setup with the sun shade and 4 power lens for around $300.00
Hi Tim! Great Site review! Nice site. Somewhat impressed. Like the longer site tape. Reference marks for 2nd and 3rd axis really nice. Not sure on lighting of the pins. Is it solid and well built? Post season brief review of the site would be nice. Durability not sure. But really good review. Nice video work.
Idk man, I’m a pretty big fan of my Axcel Landslyde 3 pin. That looks pretty solid for CBE though. Good looking triple stack site. Good luck this season Timmy!
dude I've been eyeing this sight for a couple weeks now, and cant decide. seems like a solid sights but you don't see many people running cbe that's why I haven't pulled the trigger. I don't know enough about be and the quality of them. Its a lot cheaper than my other option the landslyde.
Hey Brother. Awesome review. I do like the dual slider pins on this sight. Alot more adjustability for different hunting scenarios. Easily go from western elk hunt distances to midwest whitetail hunting with the same sight. Still a bit out of my price range, but I'll get there one day.
@@BoatflipitThank you for the information. Unfortunately, my finances are tied up in other things right now. I also need an upgrade on a bow to justify this nice of a sight.
I’m looking into the CBE Trek Pro 2V. But waiting for the new ultra view sight to drop first to check it out before I buy. Also, why’d you switch to a index release?
I know this is from 5 months ago, but why? You set the middle pin to whatever your heart desires and adjust your top and bottom one from that. To me that makes sense and cuts down on the fiddle factor. I don't understand why the SH FE has 3 moveable pins.
@@SteveKurtz yeah I get what ya mean but I like my bottom pin to be as low as possible for furthest possible shot. With the middle pin fixed it would not be an even yardage. I like pins at 20, 30, 40.
I set my middle fixed pin to 30 then adjusted my top to 20 and my bottom to 40. My bottom pin is my floater. I am pretty sure we accomplish the same thing.
For several years I’ve been using the CBE TL 3. ( try finding a LH model lol) . It’s a 3 pin slider with .010 rhino fiber optics. The pins are mounted horizontal which I’ve been used to since forever. With a rheostat light which I understand is not legal in some states? I have never used a vertical mounted pin model anything and was wondering if this design bothers you with body of pins blocking the view. Like using the middle pin for a shot does the shaft of twenty sticking up in the sight picture create any distractions?
on the sight tapes I wish they would eliminate all hash marks on right hand side and make the distance numbers bigger and easier to read for 49yr old eyes
@@TimConnor13i forgot to say I changed the the fiber optic line to top and bottom are blue now and the middle is green. It’s amazing the scope manufacturer don’t use blue. It shows up so well. Red and yellow don’t as well
Hunting out west with less than 5 pins even on a slider sucks. I’d just assume have another pin for a animal on the move. Dialing a sight down every time a animal moves cost valuable time and makes for missed shot opportunities. Shot a 3 pin for half a season I added 3 more pins and I’ll never go back.
Obviously it depends on what distances you plan on shooting animals at, but for me setting up a 3 pin at 27 40 and 50 covers me out to 60 with the addition of a stop on the sight tape for the bottom marker to index off of. I don't plan on shooting anything further than that in a hunting scenario so this works pretty well for me. Of course if you want the classic 20 30 40 50 etc spacing then that changes it a little.
I’m an old man coffee is drank hot tea can go either way hot and cold, do they make a sight tape for 32” draw length 64 pounds 704 grain arrows yes I like heavy
I kinda hope they stop making sights past 60 because iv seen to many animals shot at and wounded past 60 kinda gross that anyone would think about taking a animal past 50 I don't care if your bow is 120 pounds it's still not gonna shot and kill an animal fast enough past 50.
Can we get a different kind of intro, no hate towards you I just don’t like these style of intros myself. I know you’re not the only one who does them and I know this is not my channel, just giving my two cents when no one asked for it.

Do you have any trouble seeing the bubble with the base of the pins being kind of large ?
I’ve shooting the horizontal 3-pin CBE Trek Pro on 2 bows for two seasons now. I’ll probably try the vertical pins on my next bow.
Running a redline single pin dove tail in my V3X sick sight I love it and they got awesome customer service
