I think it's just that the world doesn't feel new anymore as we age. And here's another really important thing We're never getting bigger, the world is just getting smaller. (it's just my theory) our perception of size is influenced by the size of our body, to a child, a refrigerator is twice their size but to a teenager, it's the same as their size, so the child perceives the refrigerator as really big but the teen doesn't, and even though the growth of the human body doesn't seem so significant, but our perception of how big the world is feels really significant, because even though your body only grows twice as big, but the entire world that you see also shrinks twice as small, and the smaller things are, the less impressive they become. And not to mention our perception of time, that is the older we get, the faster time goes, so we can't really appreciate the experiences in our lives as good as we used to.
I’m going through this rn, I think turning to new experiences with old/new ppl is the answer bc you get to create different vibes with them that you can’t get out of familiar places and I hope you’re well too
I lack excitement in things I used to enjoy, it's beyond boredom at this point. Yes being bored is necessary but what if you can't get out of it anymore?
Perhaps you should explore new passions. Man can only eat cake for so many days in a row before he grows sick of it. While certainly frustrating, the feeling of extreme exhaustion could just be the push you need in order to dig deeper into yourself! One thing I try to do that helps me is to thank god for every experience I encounter, it is all part of the journey, and we must always have faith in that.
thank you for this. i'm 16 and i have been feeling like something is wrong in my life. like i decided to be more focused on my goals and everything but future doesn't excite me anymore. and the problem is: it seems boring to me. i just noticed that by your video and i guess i need to change this. idk how can i do that yet, but definitely i need this. i believe that everything we get is a sign and if i feel bored, this means i need to feel this boredom so that i can take some actions instead of scrolling or doing things for no reason and actually can FILL that emptiness. this really helped me, thank you so much again. hope you all a very nice day!
Hey Gianni, I really enjoyed your video. However, as a young adult here (24), I can't say life was boring at the end of my teenage years. It was awesome. As you said, I had all these things I had to discover about myself and it was indeed difficult to go through those times with all the responsibility. Maybe if you had asked me then I would've said: "I don't have fun as much, so maybe I'm bored". When I look back, life was full of routines and deadlines, but not boring. Here I am doing a PhD, and now life is so frustrating that I usually mistake it as hellish boring! Seems like you're a cheerful person. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!
i hope this video will be seen by more people
