I confused when people always compare jakarta to singapore...Singapore is a small country, it makes easy to manage...and jakarta's area is more huge than singapore, even jakarta is only a city.....

I lived in the Kuningan area back in 2003-4, it still looks exactly the same. The entire Jakarta Selatan area has been quite modern for quite a long time.
actually the main business district in Jakarta is Sudirman Central Business District hosting Indonesian stock exchange and the area also the nicest part of Jakarta

I used to live in an apartment just down the road near the Chinese Embassy. There are super nice places to hang around like Lowey, Bottega, and nice mall Ciputra World. The bars in Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott are nice too. Lockdown is definitely sucks but I think the city is ready for re-opening and embrace new normal
And I am so happy that during my time is in Indonesia.✍
