Thank you Father, I love you and your videos so much! Thank you for sharing your beautiful words of wisdom and guiding me and over 343,000 other people to learn more about our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! -From a Greek Orthodox Christian. ☦️
Will do brother, i share your pain, may you have the intercessions of St Mary of Egypt and she leads you to Christ. She is working with me now to overcome this as well with Gods grace ☦️❤️
St. Amphilochios of Ikonia wrote God is waiting for repentance even if the person pulls away 1000 times a day in his "Homily on repentance or there is no need for despair about salvation." This Homily was very helpful for me in situations like this.
"15.1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 15.2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 15.3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 15.4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 15.5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 15.6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep." 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-6 "1.6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 1.7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 1.8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." GALATIANS 1:6-8
Same here... I thought Orthodox were dead stuck in some sort of weird tradition, but no, I was the heretic this entire time.. all I needed was a little humility I can't wait until my baptism into the Eastern Orthodox Church. Christ our Lord dwells in the Church and you can feel the Holy Spirit in there.

How beautiful is technology for giving us Father Spyridons message for which our hearts yearn for and yet so ugly in raising pride. I have prayed and will pray for you Father Spyridon so you don’t fall into this evil trap. Lord have mercy on us wretched sinners.
@@portcontainer9727 Absolutely, my friend and brother. I have yet to meet a disrespectful or dishonest Greek, throughout all of my years. Yet I'm aware your native country has been in great plight for many years. Proximity to ideologically opposed islamic lands, as well as the econo-political status of the nation, it is a shame indeed. My heart and soul rests in the thoughtful prayers for the flourishing life, abundant safety and prosperity of all Greek lands. It's my belief that God had committed himself true to your people, to keep faithful regardless of societal strain and fears of worldly, fleeting acceptance. I hope for a miracle on our earth, or in eternity, for the redemption of all true, good souls to believe, now and forever. Amen.
Thank you for saying exactly what I asked our Father in Heaven just yesterday. The question was too long to type, but the answer is: "If it is not revealed truth, it is not truth at all". Thank you Father Spirydon. You are a true vessel. Much Love for you, and all of our Brothers and Sisters, everywhere! 😇🥰

@@josh-ni7lifaith without works is dead. Dead faith does not save. Please don’t seperate what should be kept together to be alive and saving. Faith and works go together not one or the other but both. If one does not act out the faith what faith even is there in the first. Faith+works will result in grace. All must be done in love and humility👍
Father if you by any chance see this, i am a 19yr old woman in college and all of my peers in college are protesting rn in Serbia and blocking all of the colleges in hopes of finally overthrowing the corrupt government in our country that’s deeply evil and dangerous. All of our Orthodox church fathers support the protests but we still need all the prayers that we can get because as young adults, we are up against something much darker and bigger than us right now.
Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” And they were amazed at him. Mark 12;17 Look what Russian Orthodox Church is doing in Ukraine. Blessing men to go to war and kill. Whenever church is involved in politics it’s very dangerous. Just keep that in mind
Father, I am very grateful for your messages. I am very lost and am a homeless christian (not fitting in with any christian camp) I can never go back to being Protestant again but I’m not convinced of Catholicism after months of attending Mass because of the pope and some of the odd things some of the saints believed. Part of me is devastated because I became attached to going to adoration every week. I’ve been seeking, and crying to God a lot asking him to please help me. It has been a very lonely, tiring road. At times, I’m tempted to despair because at times I feel I will never know where the church is or how to live as a christian. In my prayers recently, I cried and told God that I know nothing and just want to have peace. I have yet to get the courage to visit the Orthodox Church. I’m a little intimidated by all the standing, as I am dealing with some health issues. God bless everyone
I pray you one day have the strength to visit an Orthodox Church. I went to an Anglican then a Catholic church and every time I went I had immense irritation being there and I always left early. I put off visiting an Orthodox Church and eventually I caved and went. When I visited, I was filled with a incredible peace, as if I was finally home and that this was where I belonged. I hope my testimony is a little helpful in giving you courage. Take care of yourself and God bless you.
1.Love God with all your strength, mind and the heart. Be ready to lay your life for him. 2.Live your neighbour as yourself. Be ready to lay your life too. Show mercy

Romans 13v8-10 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Love God and Love thy neighbor are the mosaic law.
Thank you Father Spyridon. Please pray for me. I really need it. I am struggling with the handling of my blessings. I almost wish I would have never been blessed with the life I prayed for because at least when I was struggling I was closer to God.
As my health is failing and my dreams are shattering because of it, i am struggling to know what Jesus wants of me in this life.... i am lost at what He wants me to do.... i am finding it difficult bot to fall into despair
Praying for you as well. Psalm 27 27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4 One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. 5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. 6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord. 7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. 9 Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up. 11 Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. 12 Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
assuming you're an Orthodox Christian, do confess your sins to your spiritual father ( even on a weekly basis) and ask to take the Holy Communion. That's what you should do.
Want it to just go away?! Hit your wall and cry out to God in DESPERATION. Tell Him how weak you are. He already knows. It’s your acknowledgement of this that shows humility to Him. Once you’ve done this, read your Bible. Study it. Read the Book of John. Savor every word. If you have doubts, squash them in historical, archeological and scholarly findings that link these accounts (not stories) together. Work forward in a very adult way. Then pray some more. Pray that His magnificence overcomes you. Pray that there’s no more you and only Him remaining within you. Pray to not even be tempted by the very idea of a woman. …to love a woman worthy of the calling of Christ. Truly it is a difficult premise to navigate but once you’ve FULLY UNDERSTOOD AND KNOW AND SUBMIT, it will be gone from you.
Keep praying, fast when you feel it's needed, and ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit so that his desires become yours and his heart your heart. Also read/listen to the Word in some form every day if you can (I know this can be incredibly hard, the devil will try and stop you) If you keep persevering the Lord will set you free. This is what happened to me. James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
Faith alone, TRUE faith in Christ will then lead you to do good works, When you put your faith in Jesus you won’t want to live a lifestyle of sin, you would want to live a lifestyle or repentance and purity, True faith in Christ is evidenced by good works GOD BLESS YOU ☦️
Yes, you probably want to, but you will fail. And sometimes you will fail and fall into immortals as the described by Saint James. When that occurs, it is only addressed by the sacrament of confession.
@@davidsykes9331yeah man, I couldn’t tell you how much times I’ve fell, but it’s how you get back up, you got to abandon the sins out of your heart and mind
I’m Roman Catholic and I love watching your videos. How you speak with such wisdom is a blessing. I pray that the Roman and Orthodox Catholic Churches can set aside their differences and reunite ❤️🔥
When you say “put aside” their differences, do you mean ignore doctrine? Should the Church ignore the introduction of the filioque into the creed? Should the Church ignore papal claims to authority over other bishops? Or the immaculate conception of the Theotokos? Or the teaching of pergertopry? Or indulgences? Or celibate priests? Or unleavened bread at Holy Communion? Etc etc. Of course, if the Latins were to repent of their errors, there would be a way back for them. But be clear, the Church is one and undivided. It does not exist in separate bodies. The Great Schism was not a dividing of the Church, but the separation of one patriarchate (Rome) from the other four.
I profess the Catholic religion and I know that I am a weak sinner, full of doubts, disbelief and weaknesses. Even doubting some things regarding faith, what I can do is follow the Sacraments, not elevate earthly things to idols, not let myself be carried away too much by sensitive passions, dedicate time to God in prayer and try to do good works. But in all this I still sometimes feel unworthy, the only thing I can be sure of is to entrust myself totally to His will and mercy.
Brother, in love, READ your Bible. Read slowly and study the 4 Gospels going into the book of Acts. Research your questions. There are answers out there and there is a demon, terrified that you will discover those tangible answers and have as much intellect as you do passion. The power of the Holy Spirit lives in the temple of believers and will lead you unto Faith and righteousness and so much more! Many blessings to you brother! I have Faith, for your VERY SEEKING is evidence of the Holy Spirit pulling at your soul that none that are His shall be lost! It’s His will! HE LOVES YOU!
@@MrMann-gt1eh Thank you for your advice, yes I read the Bible sometimes, but mostly I read the daily gospel and the readings of the day. Many are enlightening but sometimes they scare me or I don't fully understand them. Let's say that in some cases I believe that some stories contain concepts of that time and of those ancient cultures, which in our day can seem a bit primitive. I am aware that I too could be wrong in thinking this way. But I believe that God's final message is universal love, love for Him and love for our neighbor, and that we must try to make this mortal journey of ours in the light, even if sometimes we stumble along the way.
@ I suggest a good study bible with footnotes talking about the verses. They’re all going to inevitably have their own theology a bit so having multiple translations and good men of faith to reference helps to rightly divide the word of truth. I was the same way, brother. I’d occasionally say a little prayer to God to reveal what I needed in the moment and then play the “flip it open” game to see what God wanted me to read. Not saying that didn’t work but it didn’t satiate any logical part of my mind. It’s like someone throwing a box of chain link rings in front of you and telling you, “that’s a chain” vs you having the chain, linked together and all, in your hands. Everything that tears you away, every excuse to not read one single Gospel start to finish is to be questioned by you. I’d start in John and savor every verse. I have a Thomas Nelson NKJV Study that I read with a KJV and an LSB (NASB 1995) along with the apps and last but CERTAINLY not least, prayer that the Holy Spirit rightly divides truth for me. There’s so much at our fingertips today.

Thank you father , since reading your works I have learnt more than ever about the reality of our time on this earth and the weight of our sin daily . For I do not do what I want , but I do the very thing I hate , forgive me my sins Heavenly Father 🥲
Would you agree that it's not a "work based" salvation, but a salvation that you are so radically changed by God, that in return for his love, you feel the need to live a life that follows his will and his commandments? I know feeling isn't a reliable thing but that's the best wording i could think of.
If one isn’t radically changed then I’d question if he has accepted Jesus Christ at all. I can only speak from my own experience as I’ve changed so much and I had no part in it.
@@W_H_K ... and its in that crap that Lordship Salvation / Sinless Perfectionism heresy creeps in and robs you of the Gospel, living a works based life and hearing Matthew 7:21-23.
Fr and Spyridon with capital letters but God with a lowercase letter. Every time - and this is a very common occasion - when I see a man or a woman claiming to be Cristian writing God with a lowercase letter I am in a state of disbelief. It’s absurd. And yes, I want this to sound judgmental.
Matthew 25:34-40 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
This is so hard, because when I do "good things" proud appears and ruin everything. But as you say, i do nothing but what God said to do. But when i say this i'm proud too, but i don't want to. I want's humility, real one not fake modesty . I don't want to feel proud at all, I don't want to " relax" and imagine a single second that i'm going to paradise. Great message. As an anglican I just want to say, for fairness’ sake, that we agree true faith requires charity. It’s in our book of homilies. So our reformers (at least) did not mean by faith a mere intellectual belief, but also the love of God (charity). Just putting that out there for the many commenters who love to bash us
Anglicanism now covers a very broad spectrum of doctrines and practices - if you go from parish to the next you can never know what you will find. There are extreme charismatics and some pretending to be Roman Catholic: Anglicanism has no single faith.
unfortunately that is very true, the charismatic/roman tendencies are widespread. i am lucky enough to be in a parish that avoids both pitfalls but it is rarer and rarer. sad how things have fallen apart. glad the orthodox at least are still upholding the catholic faith. thank you for your ministry father, it is really a light in these dark times
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself. The Royal Law
My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons. For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment; And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. Beleif > Faith > Repentence > Bapstism > Faith > Good Works You need to believe that Jesus died for your sins and was resurrected to have faith to be born again (baptism of the holy ghost) Without faith you cannot produce works (good works) without good works the faith is dead and may be in vain. Good works > religion undefiled (helping the poor, the widow, the fatherless, the afflicted in their suffering/ affliction) There are others good works, but they are rare: prophecy, tounges (this one is a tricky one bc their are alot of false teaches who claim to speak in tounge) 1 corinthians 14 > verse 5: I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. but where these fail, charity does not. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. Sometimes all we can do is try our best in this fallen world. I like to think that counts for something. We run this race because we believe in the perfect love of Jesus Christ. Never give up. Keep going. Run the race. Hebrews 12: 1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. With hope and love - Christopher
P.s. Good works is produced by faith. "Prophesieth" does not refer to any new prophecy (*there are no new prophets) The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. Prophesieth refers to the interpretation of prophecy All good works are a gift from God regardless of what form they take.
The good father confronts us with some harsh reality that is humbling and far from the worldly lives many are living. I think in some ways he is a little over generous in expressing hope for all as not all are God's children and like the Pharisees may be ruled by the king of the children of pride, Job 41.34
Well said. Calvinism is the worst for the heresy. They think that noatter what, if a person is going to be saved by God it is up to God and Him alone to cause that to happen. They believe that there is no free will involved. They also believe that if you are not going to be saved by God, no matter what you do, you never will be. This is a doctrine from the pit of hell. Calvin himself was an absolute monster. When people criticised his book or what he wrote to them in letters, he became furious. He even said he'd have them killed. Which he actually did by burning Christians. He had a political power in Geneva. This was through this doctrine and he even had a religious police force that would knock on doors checking how they were dressed and ask people questions to check their thinking. If found out to be wrong, the people would be punished. When I hear people shout "Grace, grace" or "You should not judge" or "all have sinned and fall short of the glory" I know there are doctrines of Calvinism in there. Paul says..... Romans 6:1 1. Should we therefore go on sinning so that grace may abound? (This is whet many in the church today directly think the answer is a definite yes, that no matter what grace will cover it. This gives them an elitist type of thinking, however, what does Paul say)? 2. GOD FORBID! (a big fat NO we don't continue in sin so that grace may about). How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (That's a rhetorical question because he gives us the answer in the next verse) 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were BAPTIZED into Jesus Christ were BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH? (That's if you were truly repented and had your old man killed off in the waters of baptism because it's not just symbolic as you read here). 4Therefore we are buried with him BY BAPTISM into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (If we are not walking in a newness of life we need to see ourselves as God sees us and agree with God against ourselves and turn from that). Then tell God we will live as His word says not as we feel or react. That's repentance. Then we have to be baptised. Then they will use John "if we say we are without sin we are a liar" but that's talking about before your're saved. John tells us this in the very next chapter after saying the above. 1John 2:1 1 My little children, these things write I unto you, THAT YOU SIN NOT. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: (Which obviously is not the norm to sin as it is for those who are unsaved, as you can read this theme constantly) 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, IF (That's a condition of knowing Jesus) WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth NOT his commandments, is a LIAR, and the truth is not in him. (Or her). 5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. (This is why jesus tells those who thought they were saved but deliberately lived in sin to get away from him because he never knew them. Why? For the same reason above. If you keep His commands you know Him and He knows you. If you don', He does not know you because you are lawless. That's what Jesus calls the 5 foolish virgins and does not let them in and tells them, "I don't know you" and that's what He calls those who say "Lord, Lord did we not heal the sick and cast out demons in your name"? And He says get away you who are lawless I never knew you). In 1John3:6 6 Whosoever abideth in him SINS NOT: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Then in verse 8 and 9... 8 He that committeth sin is OF THE DEVIL; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. (If you are truly saved and repented the Holy Spirit dwelling in you (if you have the Holy Spirit) will make you a new creation for free it just takes true repentance and baptism in water and the baptism of the Holy Spirit). 9Whosoever is born of God DOTH NOT COMMIT SIN; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
We all fails. We still live in the flesh. He knows that and gives us forgiveness and mercy. When we stands before the Lord Jesus Christ will be our defender. His blood will save us if we regret our sins and turn to Him. The truth will set us free, and Jesus is the truth. 🙏♥️
I agree with what you said about His grace being the only thing that we can hope to save us. I would warn against the idea that we must do things to ensure we believe, because of the subconscious ego that we develop from it. Remember, Jesus said that the prostitutes and tax collectors enter into the kingdom before the scribes and Pharisees, and yet He says unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees you shall by no means enter the kingdom. The only way our righteousness exceeds that is by it NOT being our righteousness, but the righteousness of Christ. The cloak of righteousness. Thats nothing we earn, it is a gift from God, even faith and belief is a gift the Bible says. So we have nothing to do with our salvation, we dont even choose it unless the Father draws us and gifts us faith. That does not mean we should sit around idly, and not go out and produce fruit. We should all aim to produce 100 fold, but Jesus said some 60 some 30. So let us be assured of our salvation that Christ died once and for all. Let us find our identity in Christ’s perfection rather than in the sin that is in our flesh. For Paul said that it is no longer him that sins but the sin that dwells within. And yet Jesus calls for perfection. He says be perfect as your Father in Heaven is Perfect. Can we really be that perfect with or without the help of the holy spirit while on earth? No! He who says he has no sin LIES and THE TRUTH is not in him. And yet, he that commits sin is of the devil. So we are no longer to identify with the sin that comes out of our flesh, and by all means throw off everything that so easily entangles. But this is not salvation. Jesus said the prostitutes would enter into the kingdom because they believed, not because they believed and changed their way of life. This doesnt mean that we shouldnt change our life after Christ. By all means thats what the epistles tells us let us encourage each other towards good works! And if any of us is living a life of BLATANT sin, let us give them over to the Devil so they be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Be not of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds in Christ Jesus! So why does Jesus say in revelation some peoples WORKS are not perfect? Because they have not fully given credit where credit is due for our works- the PERFECTION of Jesus. He already fulfilled the law and His works are counted towards us therefore they are Perfect Works. Yet some will bear fruit 30 60 100 fold. So its not up to us in terms of salvation for that is the glory of the Lord that He places over EVERY believer. And why does He cast away those who perform many wonders, cast out devils, and prophecy all in the name of Jesus? Because He never knew them they we WORKERS of iniquity. Did Christ say they were whoremongers, adulterous, blasphemers, sorcerers, etc.? No because the core of the issue is that THEY DID EVERYTHING RIGHT, just like the scribes and pharisees, yet they didnt have the humility to understand it merits nothing towards salvation. THEY NEVER SAID THEY BELIEVED. And thats all that we can hope for to enter into the kingdom, AS A CHILD. So why is Jesus going around before the ressurection saying Repent (metanoia- change your mind on what gives you righteousness) and to do impossible works like love your hated enemy, leave your family without telling them, do both honor your father by burying him? Because He is breaking down the righteousness of the law. To draw attention that HE fulfills the law for us. And our only hope is in the blood of the Lamb. I say this in all Love brethren so we may be of ONE mind in Christ Jesus, and so that none of us get choked up by the cares of this world-self sufficiency, in consciousness or subconsciousness. The prostitutes are entering the same kingdom as we who dedicate our entire lives to doing good works for the Lord. Count it as a blessing to do these things and you will understand. Pray for our brothers and sisters whose lives are full of flesh. Dont say anyone is not saved though if they believe in the name of Jesus, the blood of the Lamb that washes away ALL sin. And I encourage all of us to dedicate EVERYTHING we have for the sake of the gospel!
Amen! Praise to Our Prophet, Priest, and King! May Our Lord Jesus Christ be exalted forever and ever ✝ Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
So does that mean we don't know if we're saved or not? I've been struggling with this a lot and I'm tortured by the thought that my eternal destiny is already chosen regardless of whatever I do or don't do I'm scared there is no hope and if I am saved it would be by complete luck. Is this true or am I seeing it the wrong way?
@@joekerr3215 @ Brother in Christ, be confident in the gift God has given you! “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Eph 2:8-9(NKJV). Even your faith is a gift brother, and I know many times we can stumble at what we see in ourselves and question that. What was Christ’s first miracle? Turning the 6 (number of man) pots of water into wine. This is a symbol that the servants trusted Jesus it was indeed wine and not water. The water is the sin we see manifested from our flesh, our faith is to trust we have wine (purity and perfection) within because of the transformative power of the cross. And He will make your path straight. The narrow path that leads to eternal life. How do we acknowledge Him in all our ways? By yes praying in the day to day but moreso having faith that He will deliver us by the Blood of the Lamb and the WORD (John 1) of our testimony, what God has done for us, not what we have done for God, because to God our righteousness is like filthy rags. Even as a Protestant, I turn to Father Spyridon for help with my struggles and a deeper understanding of what I must do to achieve salvation. I pray that the Lord will forgive me for all my sins, and I hope to one day convert to either Catholicism or Orthodoxy. Like the rest of your viewers, I want to thank you, Father, for the knowledge you share with us. I also thank the Lord for His forgiveness and endless mercy.
Jesus didn't live in Italy. The Orthodox churches are still all over the middle east. Roman Catholicism and the papacy didn't exist till the 11th century. That is not the church Christ founded.
Why I am myself ,I watch again and again evil things and the minute after it I regret ,I pray a day and fall the next one,I feel like I’m a demon,I am the worst sinner of lust ,I wright this message almost a minute after.i don’t want to,i respect all women but I’m still sin since years
Forgive me Lord 🙏. I keep falling to lust i struggle but i wanna fight i could loose anything in thos world but loosing you will be my biggest regret. Pray for me my Brothers i would really need it
They are already arresting people for proclaiming Christian ethics, and two people have been arrested for silently praying in the street. The UK government’s hatred if Christ is very real.
@FatherSpyridonROCOR I heard bout that. It's also here as well. Many lawsuits over the past decade have been filed about it. We had a pathetic female homosexual mayor of Houston, Texas, down here the people hired in around 2008 that would threaten churches and would make them Send their sermons to her office to be checked to make sure she was alright with it. The lawsuits piled up on that!! They finally gave her the boot next election. It's coming like a tasunami, by 2038 the U.S. census Bureau sez that white ethnics in America will be the complete minority in all of America. Mexicans will be the majority as they've been colonizing us with the. For around 8 decades.we White ethnics are around 8.5 percent of the world's minority population and declining. Our God is allowing it. Hatred of Christian whites is bad over here. I feel for our white ethnic new generations. They are in a big pit to start with unless they are that 1 percent of ultra rich. Blessings in the Risen Christ Jesus. 🔥🙏

St. Amphilochios of Ikonia wrote God is waiting for repentance even if the person pulls away 1000 times a day in his "Homily on repentance or there is no need for despair about salvation." This Homily was very helpful for me in situations like this.
I prayed for you! ☦️
"15.1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
15.2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
15.3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
15.4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
15.5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
15.6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep." 1 CORINTHIANS 15:1-6
"1.6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
1.7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
1.8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed." GALATIANS 1:6-8
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.
Thank you for your words Father.

That's true. Hearing about it is not enough

Absolutely, my friend and brother.
Father if you by any chance see this, i am a 19yr old woman in college and all of my peers in college are protesting rn in Serbia and blocking all of the colleges in hopes of finally overthrowing the corrupt government in our country that’s deeply evil and dangerous.

Psalm 27
27 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Darkness and light cannot mix.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Beleif > Faith > Repentence > Bapstism > Faith > Good Works
You need to believe that Jesus died for your sins and was resurrected to have faith to be born again (baptism of the holy ghost)
Without faith you cannot produce works (good works) without good works the faith is dead and may be in vain.
Good works > religion undefiled (helping the poor, the widow, the fatherless, the afflicted in their suffering/ affliction)
There are others good works, but they are rare: prophecy, tounges (this one is a tricky one bc their are alot of false teaches who claim to speak in tounge)
1 corinthians 14 > verse 5: I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
but where these fail, charity does not.
Hebrews 12: 1-2
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
With hope and love
- Christopher
P.s.
Good works is produced by faith.
"Prophesieth" does not refer to any new prophecy (*there are no new prophets)
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Prophesieth refers to the interpretation of prophecy
All good works are a gift from God regardless of what form they take.
The good father confronts us with some harsh reality that is humbling and far from the worldly lives many are living.
I think in some ways he is a little over generous in expressing hope for all as not all are God's children and like the Pharisees may be ruled by the king of the children of pride, Job 41.34
Amen
Thankyou fr.
Romans 6:1
(That's a rhetorical question because he gives us the answer in the next verse)
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were BAPTIZED into Jesus Christ were BAPTIZED INTO HIS DEATH?
(That's if you were truly repented and had your old man killed off in the waters of baptism because it's not just symbolic as you read here).
4Therefore we are buried with him BY BAPTISM into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
(If we are not walking in a newness of life we need to see ourselves as God sees us and agree with God against ourselves and turn from that).
Then tell God we will live as His word says not as we feel or react. That's repentance. Then we have to be baptised.
Then they will use John
"if we say we are without sin we are a liar"
but that's talking about before your're saved.
John tells us this in the very next chapter after saying the above.
1John 2:1
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, THAT YOU SIN NOT. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
(Which obviously is not the norm to sin as it is for those who are unsaved, as you can read this theme constantly)
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
That's what Jesus calls the 5 foolish virgins and does not let them in and tells them,
"I don't know you"
and that's what He calls those who say
"Lord, Lord did we not heal the sick and cast out demons in your name"? And He says get away you who are lawless I never knew you).
In 1John3:6
6 Whosoever abideth in him SINS NOT: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Repentance is work. A required and one of the most necessary works.
@@ballbreathtaker9773 Yes of course it is. A lot of work. I didn't say anything else.
Looks very cold where you are. Have a blessed Christmas.
Amen! Only by the Grace of God can we be saved!

It is very hard if nearly impossible to find a faithful Priest like Father Spyridon , in UK..
that's why i couldn't become Orthodox yet because i only found vax promoters and ecumenists..
travel to meet Fr Spyridon
if you confess at least once a month (or twice) to an authentic Orthodox priest that'll be great
Repent and be baptized
Love
kingdom of peace
