When I was little my grandfather got me this and it was my first ever model train set rest in peice pa pa I will miss you and thank you for the amazing memories
My grandpa bought this train set to go around a christmas tree in 2013. I recently found the loco, track, caboose, and controller. Now the thing accidentally got me into O scale trains.
@@Cadeopotato06 nice this set can carry 10 empty cars easily including caboose only think it is that even with the correct curves it comes off the rails somewhat easily but that's probably cause it's an 0-8-0
Every year at the science museum near me their is a Christmas train show and their was a lottery on the Pennsylvania Flyer set and I lost so hopefully this year I win the train lottery
Quick question: is the boiler/body of the locomotive diecast or plastic? The old 2-4-2s and 4-4-2s were metal, and I get the impression that this 0-8-0 is the replacement, and I'd like to know if it too is metal, or if they've switched to plastic to cut costs. THANK YOU!

Note for you: don’t buy too many cars to the point there is wheel slip or it is slower
Yea I’m looking to buy that it’s cheap for Lionel standards and has smoke and sound effects so
@@thing879they can handle up to about 15.

Are you able to do a review on the Die-cast Liberty imports train set?
I might. It's sold out for now, but I will try to get it.
Thanks

Yeah

I have this set, but for some odd reason, the boxcar was missing, and instead, I had 2 of the exact same caboose
Cool I have a different version of the Pennsylvania flyer
Not sure how I feel about the large gap on the locomotive is it noticeable while running ?
Can the front coupler on the engine attach to other cars or is it just for decoration?
yes it can. If you purchase a sideing, you can shunt too.
We have real steam engines exactly like the Pennsylvania Flyer here in Hungary: the MÁV 411 Truman class (the USATC S160)
We had some ALCO's too here in Romania!
Can you buy this new on amazon or are they use train sets on amazon....
