Hey, Bob! Thanks a lot for this very useful lesson! There's another rule that is often broken by native speakers. We can quite often hear them use the singular form "There is" referring plural objects. Like: There's a lot of people out there, etc....
I remember when students would ask "Can I go to the bathroom?" The teacher would respond," I don't know. Can you?". You would have to ask correctly before going to the bathroom.
You know what they say, "rules are meant to be broken". Watching your videos have shown me that despite only having a grade 9 education my English and grammar are not too bad. I must've been paying attention in the classes I did take. That was 50 years ago. Great videos, Cheers!
I once saw the Queen on tv saying "my husband and I" and wondered, while thinking it was incorrect, how she could make such a mistake as the most representative figure of England. Today I found out that the Queen was actually one of the very few people no matter if natives or foreigners to say it the right way. 😄
It's so beautifull the sky totally clean without any clouds the sun shining the snow on the ground and the nature around. Really beautifull place just like a farm...

I try to put myself in an English learning environment. So I started playing Pokémon games and it worked because I could play it all day. While I read some online newspapers, but always want to sleep, so I think playing role-playing games is another good way to learn English.
