At 66 I have so many fond memories of Knott's Berry Farm. Grew up near Knott's, my friends and I could ride our bikes there. Back then you could just walk into the park for free and buy tickets to the rides. Ate with my family at the restaurant many times. A smell I will never forget was walking into the Leather Shop where my Dad bought my first pocket knife. For any that remember that smell too you'll know what I mean. Such fond childhood memories.
You should have been around for the original Knott's Berry Tales ride. It was a dark ride through the whole journey of going to the Fair and the pies being stolen. The ride LITERALLY smelled like boysenberries! Best. Ride. Ever!
I worked that ride back in the late 80s. I really wanted to be a tour guide/train operator for the Calico Mine Ride, but there were literally a hundred candidates ahead of me vying for a position 😂😂
Are you kidding, I was there on Thursday with friends and I saw your hat and stared for a few moments like 'Is that freshbaked?... nah probably not' I can not believe this
I grew up going to Knott's Berry Farm. I used to go every year on my birthday when they would let you in free. I grew up going on the Huff and puff which they're getting rid of and it breaks my heart and I remember when Barry tells used to be the old dinosaur ride they should have kept it 😢💔. By the way Dave thank you for going back to Knott's Berry Farm it needs just as much love as Disney 🫰🏻
same. never on my bday but once or twice a year for several years in the 90's when kids got in for like $9.95 or something. i remember meeting captain planet one year and smashing my face on the ground like 5min after entering because i tried to jump a bench and faceplanted.
My memories go back to the late 50's and early 60's! Felt like a real ghost town with a really creepy vibe. Water that went up the spout, optical illusions and the Vortex effects! The Farmer's barnyard had a mule that made a little merry-go-round move. The stage coach got held up by outlaws during the ride. Simple times and a place where your imagination ran wild! Better memories than Disneyland for me.
Was recommended your channel a weeks ago, love your line updates. So-cal native, haven't been to knotts in a long time. Really want to go back since attendance is low.
Always love when you take us to Knotts. Brings back great memories from the 70s and 80s. Thank goodness they havent chaned the Ghost Town and that area.
I was at Knott's Berry farm on Saturday and it was packed average wait times were 90 minutes for the good rides definitely wish I could have seen you at Knott's that would have been awesome thank you for posting this amazing video
A Knott staff member told me they are updating the kids Ferris wheel, because the controls are analog (like driving a stick-shift) and the younger staff member aren't trained for it. They replacing it with more modern one, where it just requires a push of a button.
Hello David. We haven’t visited Knotts because we don’t do coasters. We thought that was all there was to ride. There are some interesting places to see! The last ride where you were interacting would be great for us. Thank you for bringing us along as you strolled through Knotts. Have a wonderful week. Hi to Liz and Sofia. ❤❤❤
Random park tips: Pony express: I thought it was an”little kid” ride but it’s a super fun ride as someone who loves huge rollercoasters I know that people who are scared will love it! When riding it I always go at night like the final hour before closing because everyone is getting their final rides in or in line for a huge ride like Ghostrider or SilverBullet meaning their at the front so me and my friends always go then two stay behind and take pictures of our ride photos and we ride like 10 times! Super fun! Also if you want to take photos and go on a rollercoaster the best are The Log Ride wich is super fun and Pony express!
I was an Employee of Knott’s Berry Farm Twice. The First time was here back in 1982-1983. I was there to help Open up “Camp Snoop” & my 2nd time working for Knott’s was back in 1996 At Disneyland, I was there & working in Guest Relations when we Helped open up “Disneyland California Adventure” black in Feb. 2001 & then I was there to help Open up “Toon Town,” & “Aladdin the musical.”
I avoided Supreme Scream for years but finally at 38 years old, i worked up the courage and had a "yolo" moment and hopped on for the first time. It feels just like imagined. It wasn't that bad. I just don't like vertical drops. I will go on the tallest and fastest roller coasters but I think twice on anything with vertical drops lol. Speaking of roller coasters, Montezooma's Revenge was my first "big boy" coaster and it shattered my fear of roller coasters. I will definitely miss it 😢
fresh baked you always make my day!!!!! love your videos im gald you made a knotts berry farm one today.keep up the good work david!! appericate you for taking your time to give info and showing us whats new with construction in disney your amazing❤❤
FYI- The Kingdom of the Dinosaurs ride was from 1987 to 2004 and replaced by Voyage to the Iron Reef in 2005 which was basically the same ride as the current Berry Tales ride/game with the blasters and all except you were “underwater” in a submarine shooting at mechanical octopi and other marine life. Voyage stopped in 2020 and was replaced by Berry Tales.
You literally walked by me while I was standing at the back of the line closest to preferred lol! I went on supreme scream first because its my faaaav ride there. Thanks for showing knotts because I knew what to expect, it was still fun even tho half the rides were closed.😂
Kingdom of the Dinosaurs and it was actually replaced by Voyage of the Iron Reef which was then replaced by the remake of Knott's Beary Tales (which came out in the 70s only to be replaced by Kingdom of the Dinosaurs in 1987). Still, I miss that ride, too, and I wish they brought it back.
You used the stagecoach for a construction peek like you do the monorail…I have often called the stagecoach the “Knott’s Monorail” 😂 Love these other park videos. I love Disneyland and Knott’s and, in my last trip, started to appreciate Universal more. 👍
Dave you have to check out the Hotel, because the Restaurant is now open, the Starbucks coffee and sandwich shop ,also the Bar. The new gift shop is open too.
I was an audio tech at Knotts back in 2002-2004. It was one of the funnest jobs I ever had. Saw a lot of its secrets. What I wouldn’t give to clock in once again..
16:40 supreme scream is terrifying. I went on it one time and that was all. When I got off the ride I was shaking. All of my muscles were weak and I felt like passing out. I have a major fear of heights but figured it was safe enough since it’s been standing for years and millions of riders have been on it. Never again would I go on that thing. No way.
Thanks for the video! My husband would love to go on a day like that where ride lines are low 😁. Especially when going with kids. We’ve had Knotts passes for a few years now and I like going more for just hanging out, getting the most out of our food dining plan, and taking the kids. There’s a handful of rides at knotts that I don’t mind riding. Plus it’s a great place for mom’s day out with a few besties 😊.
I went the first time ever over 2 decades ago in February and it wasn't very busy then, either. I remember walking into the park under a roller Coaster. I love the Sierra Express, one of my main reasons for going there. I think all the attractions were working and I'm not a thrill seeker so my experience was limited. The kitchen was far behind and rushing food out. My fried chicken platter was raw on the inside. after waiting a half hour for it! I threw it away. Thank goodness we save it for last.
Berry Tales is a far cry from the Kingdom of the Dinosaurs. I miss that ride as much as I miss my childhood dog Bosco. But we all just called it 'The Time Machine."
It's wild to see some of the updates from there since the last I've been, and as someone who used to work there until a few years ago, I can definitely say that that's a normal off-day there at the park lol I used to work as Park Services (the janitorial/maintenance) as one of their best, but I left due to many factors. Still though, it'll always hold a very close place to my heart, from the memories I had growing up and going there as a kid, to working there and having many experiences, from meeting famous people like Elvira before she retired, to even finding a sweetheart there.
Oh and I forgot the haunted shack that was always so fun as a kid for me Even though it was all just illusions it was so much fun and they took that out 😢
When he was talking about falling from Supreme Scream, that's me too. When they had a scene like that in Zombieland, welp, there we go. I actually like when the park is like that. I have been to Knott's both busy and empty like that. Its defentely less stressful and no major rush to get to the attractions you want to do. Disneyland is where I have to pick and choose what things to do due to lines.
I worked there many years ago and saw some interesting things happen to 'zooms launch mech. My favorite part of it was the weird howling/moaning sound it made during a launch. Look up a video tilted "Moteur" to hear it. After one later rebuild they messed up the clutch so badly it only grunted and didn't have enough slip, so it was overstressing the train and track. The time it was rebuilt when I was there they had a few mistakes happen, (none dangerous, just embarrassing) and had to send it back or another rebuild and modification. (Had to do with the drive motor.)

If you were going to try one of the big rides for the first time, id reccomend either xcelerator or silver bullet. Silver bullet is nice because it isnt too intense, and Xcelerator is intense but over in the blink of an eye.
Midweek during school. Truly off-season. I remember hearing years ago that Knott's makes nearly half of its annual revenue during Halloween Haunt. Not sure if that still is the case. This suggests that's possible.
Closing at 6 pm is a killer. You can only go if you take the day off work. Filings shows a "terminated project at Knotts" basically guaranteeing the loss of MONTE for the railroad expansion as shown in the concept video.
Montezooma isn’t dead until knotts says it is. Stop with the fake information about it being gone especially since the ride is down indefinitely due to the lawsuit
@rexrabbiteer lol, OK. Go read the new Cedar Fair SEC Filing. Page 22. Knotts should be announcing soon. But again the concept video literally shows the new train track running behind the new Jeep ride that was Rocky Moutain Trucking Company. So THEY showed this months ago.
Was just there on Valentine’s Day and so disappointed. The train wasn’t running at all, the log ride was down and Camp Snoopy all torn apart essentially. Just a big waste of our money. I don’t think I’ll ever make a trip out to go there again. Just sad.
Grew up in Southern California and spent more time at Knott’s Berry Farm than I did at Disneyland. So many great memories. Do they still do the cowboy gunfight reenactments?
So intimate just recently announced a new multi launch coaster opening later this year in Australia. I' keeping fingers crossed that we eventually get that simular ride system as it isn't Intamin Cedar Fari was having litigation with.
I don't go to Knotts Berry Farm often...I prefer Disneyland...................but one memory I have at Knotts Berry Farm I remember years ago...............I was there with my Parents and my Aunt and a cousin we were walking the park and one of the staff dressed up as a cowboy played a joke on my mom she was busy talking to my Aunt....the staff member taped my dad on the shoulder motioning him to move to the side quietly and he continued walking with us next to my mom who had not noticed...at one point while talking to my aunt she happened to glance down and noticed the boots the cowboy was wearing......she thought it was strange because my Dad was not wearing boots...she glanced up seeing the cowboy next to her and screamed bloody murder in shock and suprise... the entire family laughed...at what happened.🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
There my old store, I worked at. “Cordey’s Corner.” We were the First people to Open & Operate the “Carts” outside. My cart was filled with “Beetle Mania” stuff & candy 🍭 that we were selling.
This video has blown my mind😅😅😊! Last time I was there, Disney Land didn't exist! The first time I was there was in the late thirtys!! no theme Park! It seems it was out in the middle of a vast berry farm! next came the resturant! Best chicken l ever ate. Is the resturant still there? Would like to make it " for my bucket list"!! getting close to 90 years old!
At 66 I have so many fond memories of Knott's Berry Farm. Grew up near Knott's, my friends and I could ride our bikes there. It was a sad day when they took that ride out. It's like Disney replacing Pirates or Haunted Mansion. It had a great soundtrack, too.
I worked that ride back in the late 80s. I really wanted to be a tour guide/train operator for the Calico Mine Ride, but there were literally a hundred candidates ahead of me vying for a position 😂😂
Thank you for continuing the Knott's coverage! These virtual trips are just enough to hold us over between in-person visits.
Are you kidding, I was there on Thursday with friends and I saw your hat and stared for a few moments like 'Is that freshbaked?... nah probably not' I can not believe this
They took that Ghost Town theme and really stuck with it! Really love Knotts, they still have a true “off season”.
I remember when the parking lot was a orange grove, we went to knotts berry farm more than I can count, always loved it
I grew up going to Knott's Berry Farm. I used to go every year on my birthday when they would let you in free. I remember when Berry Tales was just that - Berry Tales! Way before it became Dinosaurs it was a wonderful and whimsical dark ride.

Apparently this guy doesn't think that having low attendance when somone chooses to go is a good thing 🤣
Always love when you take us to Knotts. Brings back great memories from the 70s and 80s. Thank goodness they havent chaned the Ghost Town and that area.

You were told wrong then. It’s being replaced with a swing ride.

I love Knotts so much for its history! Berry tales is the closes I can get to living in a Rolly Crump world.
I was an Employee of Knott’s Berry Farm Twice. The First time was here back in 1982-1983. I was there to help Open up “Camp Snoop” & my 2nd time working for Knott’s was back in 1996

i grew up all my life watching that tower on the highway as a kid, it still terrifies me at 27 lol. Maybe when I hit 38 haha.
My sister and I ended up doing silver bullet 4 times in a row in less than fifteen minutes on the same day you were there. Great time to visit!
I used to do that with Batman at SFMM towards the end of the night because everyone wants a lost night ride on x2 and I’ve already done that before.
I enjoyed every moment of watching this journey. Thank you so much! Love it!
Love how you’re covering Knotts and universal more!!! You do great work
fresh baked you always make my day!!!!! love your videos im gald you made a knotts berry farm one today.keep up the good work david!! appericate you for taking your time to give info and showing us whats new with construction in disney your amazing❤❤
As someone who loves coasters, I always get a good laugh out of Dave’s reactions to them 😂😂

Berry tales is a waste of time. Voyage to the Iron reef was a great ride.
Dam I went back in December and it was packed! We couldn’t get on a ride without waiting 2 hours for it
You literally walked by me while I was standing at the back of the line closest to preferred lol! I went on supreme scream first because its my faaaav ride there. Thanks for showing knotts because I knew what to expect, it was still fun even tho half the rides were closed.😂
Nice fresh baked going out of the box and exploring other parks other than Disney
Thank you fresh baked for the update, would be nice to have a mild coaster like wacky soap box racers again.
The Soap Box Racers were my favorite ride in the park! I was so bummed when they removed them.
I would love an update on the construction at the hotel. Planning to go to Knott's in April or May.
was there on thurs/fri last two things that are still under construction are the main entrance and the patio to the bar i believe
Your editing and filming is outstanding! Well done!
Thanks for the Knotts update, David! Love it.
I love Knott’s! It needs more love! Seems They love their guests more than Disney does! No rezzies all welcome all the time!❤️
My all time favorite dark ride was the Dinosaur ride that was replaced by Berry Tails.
Yeah dinosaurs was the goat of dark rides I miss it 😢
Calico Mine train is another original attraction. I wonder if that was even open.
You used the stagecoach for a construction peek like you do the monorail…I have often called the stagecoach the “Knott’s Monorail” 😂 Love these other park videos. I love Disneyland and Knott’s and, in my last trip, started to appreciate Universal more. 👍
Haha I loved that you put your on-ride audio along with off ride footage. That worked really nicely.
Knotts is fantastic! That Montezuma's revenge ride was a legend when we were kids
So many memories at Knott's! I miss it
Dave you have to check out the Hotel, because the Restaurant is now open, the Starbucks coffee and sandwich shop ,also the Bar. The new gift shop is open too.

I went the first time ever over 2 decades ago in February and it wasn't very busy then, either. I remember walking into the park under a roller Coaster. Aloha Dave and thank you for bringing us along..I love Knotts
I’m from Brazil and I live in Huntington Beach now. I love Knotts ❤
I really thought you were going to brave Silver Bullet there for a second. I'm rooting for you for next time!
Berry Tales is a far cry from the Kingdom of the Dinosaurs. I miss that ride as much as I miss my childhood dog Bosco. But we all just called it 'The Time Machine."
And called it “the make out ride”
It's wild to see some of the updates from there since the last I've been, and as someone who used to work there until a few years ago, I can definitely say that that's a normal off-day there at the park lol
I used to work as Park Services (the janitorial/maintenance) as one of their best, but I left due to many factors.

Im loving the features on Knott's and Universal. A little change of scenery. Would you ever consider a trip to Magic Mountain?
Only time when it’s extremely busy there is when Knott’s Scary Farm take place as that theme park does the best job for mazes
Thanks for sharing Fresh Baked! Great video!
Oh and I forgot the haunted shack that was always so fun as a kid for me Even though it was all just illusions it was so much fun and they took that out 😢

I saw you in line for knots bear-y tales told my wife I have been watching you for over a year now
@10:29 Pretty interesting attraction there.. Watch a construction zone in motion.
Montezuma Revenge has had age issues with the launch equipment. 16:28
Knotts has become a corporate entity. I remember the first time I went to knotts while serving in the Marines. They offered free entry for vets and a guest. I WENT LAST SUNDAY. PARK WAS FULL. FOOD WAS GREAT. CHEERS
Thanks for covering the other parks as well!
The ride Knott's Berry Tales has three guest inputs: there is standby, there is fast lane, and from the unloading side of the ride, there is the disability pass guests along with their accompanied guests.
I really enjoy these Knotts Berry Farm videos. 👍🏻😀 another great video.
The only time I saw Disney parks like this aside from back in 2020, was when we went the day after a hurricane when the parks just reopened in Orlando.
24:10 I still have my arcade game card, it took us forever for my brother to get points for an Xbox but we haven’t been back since…don’t even know if he can even get it still. Boysenberry festival coming, got to love boysenberry punch!
I was there Saturday 02/17 super busy!
The train and the log ride will be open again sometime in March. 😊
My kids and I had season passes for about ten years when they were younger
I actually love this place
I build and paint hot rods so I check out everything there
And the kids always had a blast 😩👍❤️🙏🇺🇸
Montezuma's Revenge was my very first thrill ride 35ish years ago. I've been hooked ever since!
i'm glad you're adding more Knott's and Universal material. How do the food prices compare to Disneyland?
Calico mine ride, how could you skip that?
Montezuma was my favorite ride! Would ride that every Friday night before dancing at cloud 9 and studio K❤ $8 after 8 loved the 80s!
I saw Tom Jones in concert at Knott's atound 1980! Loved going ro Knott's as a kid on vacation visiting from out of town
193K!!!! Congratulations!! 🎉
FRESHBAKED is DISNEYLAND!!
Knott's Berry Farm is America's First Theme Park. 🇺🇲
Pro Tip. Only get in the Pony Express line if they are running 2 trains. Otherwise it's brutally slow.
Kntts Berry Farm snoopy Love my favorite one fan BIG 💖💖💖💖🎶⭐️⭐️⭐️
I remember about 8 years ago walking through Knott's Berry Farm there was only 400 people in the park.!!
If you were going to try one of the big rides for the first time, id reccomend either xcelerator or silver bullet. Silver bullet is nice because it isnt too intense, and Xcelerator is intense but over in the blink of an eye.

Would you recommend Knott’s for teenagers? I’m considering Knott’s for my teenage son (16) and myself March 16
i love knotts my local park
19:54 damn boy. Didn’t expect to see fitties here.
Love Disneyland but always great to see knotts vlogs love snoopy
Was just there on Valentine’s Day and so disappointed. The train wasn’t running at all, the log ride was down and Camp Snoopy all torn apart essentially. Just a big waste of our money. I don’t think I’ll ever make a trip out to go there again. Just sad.
18:58 my wife designed this feature on the roof when they refreshed the ride a few years ago :)
Grew up in Southern California and spent more time at Knott’s Berry Farm than I did at Disneyland. So many great memories. Do they still do the cowboy gunfight reenactments?
Went here once in the late 90s and loved it as a kid. Have there been alot of changes since then?
Great memories at this place.
I was there for knotts scary farm and let’s just say it was a huge mistake not having a fast pass lol
I remember going on the Xcelerator. I didnt no what i signed up for until i sat front row and it was intense!!
Keep the content coming! More more more!!!
Good to know! I’m looking for a half empty park lol.
There my old store, I worked at. “Cordey’s Corner.” We were the First people to Open & Operate the “Carts” outside. My cart was filled with “Beetle Mania” stuff & candy 🍭 that we were selling.
1 Word Outstanding
I wish they had built an up to date copy of the original Knott's Berry Tales attraction. The Crumps worked on the original one.
There’s a UA-cam video of the original. Not great quality, but still enough for us old farts who remember it.
Heading there for the first time in a few weeks. I may regret only doing one day.
Does the Stage Coach ride do a completel circle around the park?
