Cool. I was JUST about to go buy 2 universal remotes when it dawned on me to check online to see if I can make the unused cable remotes work. This worked for my new TV and my old analog TV. Thanks for posting.

Hey Tampatech, great videos these trick always help me out. Today I was trying to use my remote and the remote everytime I try to change the channel, the TV not available and cannot change the channel, the remote is the universal spectrum remote. Idk if the remote is bad or a way to fix that? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I have Cox 8820 universal remote. Do you have the same video for that remote? (the channels +/- button only make the cable light blink, but I do not have cable ... just an antenna hooked up to the TV). Thank you.

Hi there. Will the TV function of the remote work on a Broksonic TV? My dad is 81 and we gave him one of our older TVS (he didn't want a new one). I have the original remote, but I think I may have pushed some buttons when I was putting in the new batteries ( any chance you know those codes??? :) I do have a TWC remote, though, and was wondering if I would be able to use it for the TV only. He is connected to cable. Hope that all made sense and I really hope you can help me. Thank you in advance. :)
