HI Yiannis.... Model numbers don't mean much to me. The manual only breaks down to the manufacturer. Is Funai listed among the manufacturers in the code list?
Hi Rudy, and thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, I cannot find the list suppoted by TV control I want to buy. I have tried a lot, but I cannot find any .PDF or web page that would mention this. TV control is NVTC RM-014+ If you have time to search a little bit and send such information, it would be really appreciated. Thank you!
So I checked the link to the codes. For a Funai TV, the codes it found were:

I am sorry for this mistake, because correct is "NVTC RM-014S+". But, I think that, through your searching, the eg Google results or any other search machine, would give you the correct one. I am disappointed, and a little bit distressful for not being 100% sure for this pair NVTC-FUNAI. It's not your fault, or any other's. We cannot find in WHOLE web this control's manual to be 100% sure that this is for Funai. As you can understand, I cannot proceed to purchase, if I am 100% sure for this pairing. Seller, here that I found it in a very good price, if pair does not work, will not give me money back. e.g. Could you upload in an answer the link codes? Thanks!
HI, those were the only codes I found for the Funai brand. The model number doesn't help at all. They only break down the codes per the brand, not the model number. This is the same thing with any universal remote, they aren't model specific.
This has always worked for me until I got a new Sanyo/Roku Smart TV. I go through this process and the TV shuts off, however I have to go to the TV remote to turn it back on. I guess I am going to have to use two remotes. Any ideas on how to make this work.
Is TV "on" the only function that doesn't work? Are there different codes to use?
Im working tech support of spectrum.. You did it right. It's kinda aggravating sometimes that it won't paired up properly. Or is it the customer that won't listen carefully.

I don't know if anyone's going to see this but I figured out how to program the arrow keys to the TV hold keys ok/select + CBL till the CBL key lights up then press the menu key and then press the TV key and you are all ready to go!

I have an xfinity XR2 remote, I have no cable box or cable but would like to program it to change my channels on just my LG TV. This remote has no device buttons to choose at the top. Can you help me?
I'm not familiar with the remote, but I did find this: www.xfinity.com/support/remotes/. I looked at it, and it looks like it'll show you how to program that remote. I hope it helps. Thanks.

@@carlablack4728 I'm not sure how that remote programs. IF it uses codes, then sometimes a code will only partially work. If there's more codes, always try another code to see if it'll work any better than the one you're having trouble with. If that remote is a learning remote, you should be able to teach it the missing functions.
We cannot move on my tv to left, right, up, down. I'm talking about the buttons around the Ok/Sel button
You might have a incompatible code... if there are more codes try some different codes. Or you could try a auto code search to see if that'll find a different one

HI I am not familiar with a conic remote. Do you have the book for it? If so is the Royal brand listed in there? Or does the conic remote have an auto code search feature?
Do you know of a hack or a code to program that remote to fast forward 30 seconds (i.e., commercial skip) for the Spectrum Motorola DVR?

Have you tried all the codes for your TV? Also if it's a smart TV, there's probably going to be some functions that won't work.
Is there a way to program the Menu button to the TV? Every time I press menu it goes to CBL. I can’t access the tv menu apps. I have a Vizio
The menu button should work the TV menu when the remote is in TV mode. If your accessing apps is that a smart TV? I don't believe this will access the apps on a smart tv.
@@JLPicard440 i set up the remote, but it didnt access the menu. it goes straight to the cable box menu. Yes i was trying to access the apps like youtube and amazon. but I can't do that any longer and I am not sure how to do it.
This remote isn't going to work with the smart TV apps. But it should access the menu on the TV..

I got this exact remote to work on my insignia tv for the power and volume buttons but the video source to change hdmi does not work. Anyone have any idea why some buttons would work but not another🤔

The only other thing you might try is the auto code search.. Sometimes that'll hit on a code that works better..
How do i make the remote work in non cable mode only antena air no cable?
HI, the remote doesn't care if you're using over the air or cable. The channel up/ down buttons will work the same. You do need to go into your menu and make sure the TV is in Air mode and not cable.
I have the exact remote and everything works fine except I can’t get my video source button at bottom left to switch between TV, Xbox, PS4, etc. I know it’s possible because I just had this remote replaced. Any ideas? Thanks 👍🏽✌🏽
Sometimes a code will only partially work. Did you try all the codes to your TV?
@@JLPicard440 No only because everything else works perfectly and I was afraid to mess it up. I didn’t know a code could activate the source code button. I have a TCL Roku TV. I’ll try some codes today. Thank you for your reply. 👍🏽
@@Red_AIert Naah, you can't mess it up as long as you remember the original code.. Being a smart Tv, it might not work as expected, but it's worth a try.

Hmmm.. by using the codes in the manual for spectrum? Did you see how I put codes in for a TV? You would use the same procedure but sub out my codes and device for the spectrum box..
I just had the Spectrum system installed. I was able to add my DVD player but now only the DVD player and TV turn on without any option for cable. What did I do or am not doing correctly????? very frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!!

The guide button will only display "To Be Announced" rather than the available programming. How do i get back to the available programming?
I'm not sure on that one. Did you try all the available codes to see if one is better than the other? Maybe it might help.

Usually if you get into the menu for the TV, there should be something listed there called Zoom or something like that..

They're all different, but there should be a menu button on the remote..
Everything works except the video source button... not sure why. Pressed tv first. The one in the other room works but not in the living room
Is the one in the other room the same brand TV?
How do I get the aspect key to work?
You probably have to press shift/ mode first and then use the aspect button. If that doesn't work, I've found that usually the aspect ratio is controlled from within the TVs menu settings.

The channel up and down button should work with your TV or set top box. I don't understand the question.
I'm having this problem too. I can program the remote to turn the power to the TV on and off but I can't change the channels or channel guide.

I have a smart tv... everything works but after I press input source I can’t scroll throw the streaming menu... my dog destroyed my tv remote and my family really misses using Netflix lol help!
Some remotes aren't compatible with the streaming part of the remote. Did you try all the codes to make sure there's not one that works better?
I have the same issue. Sceptre brand tv. I don’t understand your explanation here. What do you mean “the remote isn’t compatible with the streaming part of the remote”? How can a remote not be compatible with itself?
I’ve had these remotes for years. Programmed to tv and cable box correctly. But I could never get video source to actually change the hdmi, it pops up the menu to change it, but there is no way to actually change it.

@@RealDanielWhite I worded it wrong. I meant the smart TV part of the original remote. You need a remote that can be taught using the original remote so that you can transfer the smart features like direct access to Netflix to the universal remote, they just might be on a button that's labeled something else.
@Take a Bath Productions . Thanks for the informative video. I was able to make my channel and volume buttons default to TV with your instructions. Do you know how I can default the OK and side and up arrow buttons default to TV mode. Right now, it defaults always to cable mode. I am using a smart tv and this is needed to navigate to different channels and options.

It controls the volume and turns on and off but you can't change the channel. This is useless.
Are you trying to change the channel on the TV or a Cable box? Also have you tried all the available codes for your device?
@@JLPicard440 I need to be able to change my TV to channel 3 so I can watch my cable channels but this method does not allow you to do that. It just turns the TV on and off and volume control.
