That was really nice. I appreciate the concise lesson, apart from the beautiful playing of course. You managed to teach a lot in under 10 minutes, without any stress. Please take a note of that, all you guitar youtoubers out there.
Dude this is so nice! Ty for it🙏🏻 if you ever do some zoom ins on your hand it would help me so much lol. These shapes are proving to be a little tricky for hand but I’m glad I’m finally finding sounds i really click with, even on my acoustic
Take it one string at a time and slowly build the chord note by note while making sure each note added is ringing clearly. If it isn't, try adjsuting hand angle until you get a clear pitch from each string.
Jamey, you are obviously a very skilled and very knowledgeable musician. How did you acquire this knowledge? Did you go to school for music? How can we as average self taught musicians get to the level you are at?? Thank you for sharing your knowledge. We appreciate these teaching lessons.
Thank you very much! I started out as a "by ear" player with some good private instruction, but ultimately did study in college for music. A lot of the skills I've learned were acquired outside of the classroom though, either from instructional materials, listening/transcribing records, studying with great private teachers, and working many gigs.
This channel is a gold mine❤
So motivating. Thanks. Now I'm off the sofa and going into the music room and practice.
Thanks for the in-depth lesson Jamey 😊
You’re welcome!
