    Just a little advice, when you have a crack/gap on your trailer, cover/weld it immediately. What happens is that the wood underneath the floor begins to rot and the floor begins to “squeak” or loosens. It will be thousands to replace the wood

    • @GuitarLessonCharts
      @GuitarLessonCharts Рік тому

      The wood your speaking about is called stringers. Are you suggesting that this repair holds water and allows rot? I can kinda see that because they stitched it in.

    Thinking of removing the whole floor & wood myself. Then take it for a new floor.

    I would not call this a good job based on the welds and based on not replacing the entire floor wall to wall and then the dropoff. Not what I would expect if I was paying.

      @@DIYSEMI I hear ya man. I'm a bit of a perfectionist as well so I'd have the same issue with the dropoff between panels and gaps. I'm sure its been working fine all this time for you. Appreciate all the videos. A lot of good subjects.

    How bad was the old floor? Was the old floor bad in a certain area or bad all over? Mine is getting wore thin down the center. I've put a sealer over top of the bad spots to protect the wood underneath. All of my spots are 1" or less. I'm thinking about trying to get this done to my floor.

      mine had corrosion holes here and there. previous owner must have done alot of acid washouts

    Was there anything wrong with the subfloor / wood underneath? Or was it just the aluminum cracking, Because if they didn’t fix under it will break again. Thanks

    How much extra weight did it add to the trailer just to go on top of the old floor? Yes that is way past a piss poor job on the welding. I can't believe they were so cheap that they could not split one whole piece in 1/2 to finish up both sides to the wall.

      Never seen a reefer floor put on top like that. At my job we cut out the bad spot like 2' with a circle saw and replace the stinger under it and weld in new 2' foot peice of floor.

    Shipper pop a tote of chemical oil in my reefer trailer and after i washout it dry up and turned like a rust yellow stain paint inside and out. 😢 im planning to do a claim and sinces it was draining over my drive tire it also damaged my truck back Sleeper, and all my drive aluminum rims. This chemical stain is like paint and will not come off. I dont if its even know if its even safe to hauling food in my trailer anymore.

    This is the problem that they will have and you will have that will lead you to probably, almost certainly, will make you to ever in your life, and not only you, but those in your family and those that have a brain, after realizing this I will say, may never set a foot in a vehicle dealership. You see what they just did to you? They couldn't start on the edge to have the entire floor finished with one extra panel, and that's not the worst, here is the worst, the smell of your trailer.
    What you are sealing you will end up cutting open, is the exit of the draining after a little time working you will start smelling, and since they so did a crappy job not sealing its edges, because yes, they glued the floor but they didn't sealed the edges of the boards installed, this means, that any liquid in the floor will behave like liquids from a fridge than never gets cleaned, trapped with your caulking. I'm at half your video so you prolly caulked it by the end. The solution, do not caulk it, leave it like that, any unhappy or complain, let them know who did the crap of job, they will not go to such criminals full dealer.
    Then when you are to clean that floor, set your trailer in a little lifter ramp, pour a gallon or two of clorox by the front end floor, let it run free out the back end, pressure wash the floor every whenever you start feeling smell because you will feel it my friend. Is never on the first day after they do a measly job that you feel the mistakes no, but after 1-3 or 5 years, the crap say Hello!
    They'll lose at the end. Never forget to mention who did the killing! If possible.
