Hi Dharna, it's nice to hear from you, thanks for watching! I really enjoy making videos, I was just so burnt out from work 😩 Hopefully my next job will leave space for this hobby 🤞🏼
I live in the US and on Amazon I have seen little books with the paper watercolor sheets so I’m curious as to how well your flower girl works with the watercolor sheets. Thanks for sharing your haul.
Ah interesting! I should check that out. I wonder if the watercolor sheets are identical 🤔 It was my first time seeing them when I found this set online, and wasn't able to find anything else like it. Really excited to try them out 🤭 Thank you so much for watching!
Enjoyed watching your video, I am quite curious to see how those Watercolour girl with flowers paints work out and would love to see you post a video on them :)
I enjoyed this. Funny - coloring in a regular adult coloring book stresses me out, lol. I stress over the color choices of each part. But if there is a book with a model completed page next to the blank one, then that is fine. I have a bunch of little and big adult coloring books from Daiso in various themes such as landscapes, flowers, etc. that have coloring instructions and tips, too. They have model pages. I think they are meant for colored pencils, but I'm going to use watercolor pencils. I much prefer just doing my own watercolors of florals, though, which is my favorite subject. I like loose florals the most.
Ahh no way! You were able to find some in Daiso!! Are you referring to a Daiso in North America? I’ve only ever seen this style of adult coloring book in Korea. But I love that I could shut my brain off entirely and just focus on putting paint to paper. It is very relaxing. And I agree with you, Western style adult coloring books stress me out. Especially ones with so many intricate details!
@Bugiddle Ahh no way! I'm glad you were able to find that style of coloring books. I'll have to swing by my local Daiso to have a look as well. Thanks for the tip 😁
Oh I totally get coloring books. I'm burning through all my water based markers and colored pencils in these books. I got myself a coloring book by cris ortega for my birthday. The art style is soo beautiful & alluring. I'm just waiting on the chance I printed them blown up on decent paper. 🥹
Haha the temptation is real, isn't it? It's nice not needing to deal with the linework if you're just in the mood to paint/colour! Whenever I went into ArtBox, it was the section I'd spend most of my time in 🙈
@@JuliRoxArt The coloring pages were nice it's kind of similar to a thick cardstock but the paper does buckle and roll if you use to much water. if you are willing to do other watercolor techniques on it other than wet on dry, it would sadly ruin the paper :(
Your Daisy poster colour are packaged very similarly to the NICKER Japanese paints used in Studio ghibli films. They are different from Gelli gouache. But have some things in common. They are very different from western poster paints which are for schools and very low grade. I would give pthem a go if we had a Daiso (we don’t).
Hi there 👋🏼 There's not really a strict timeframe for something to be considered vintage. It's a bit of a debated subject, though some believe it can include items even as young as 20 years old! Others think you can only use the word "vintage" after at least 30-40 years pass. How do you define it?
@@JuliRoxArt I probably should have stuck a smilie in my first message… ‘cos I did mean it as a laugh! But…. Personally I’d say from the 60’s or 70’s is “retro’… older than that is maybe hitting “vintage”… but the 90’s is still fairly modern, surely! But I wouldn’t call anything vintage unless it was AT LEAST 2x25 years …. but maybe cos that’s I’m closer to 50 than 25 now 😂
Ahh interesting! That does make sense. I'm nearly 30 years old. The colored pencils in this video are about as old as me. Haha so from my perspective, they do feel vintage. I have a few other sets of colored pencils. Some from the 60s and 80s. And some loose colored pencils that are harder to date. I have an old Prismacolor that is in the color "flesh" (before that name was changed to "peach"). I think it could be from the 70s. Although, by your definition, I don't think I own any art supplies that are vintage. Maybe a set of charcoal that looks pretty dated? Although, I can't figure out the exact decade it's from. Thanks for taking the time to comment and share your perspective 🤗
I am so glad that you are posting regularly!!

I have the exact same watercolor flower girl coloring pages and the paints worked HORRIBLE i highly recommend you use your own paints
Ahh no way!! Aw man, I was really excited about them. Did you enjoy the coloring pages? Does the paper handle water well enough?

Bummer! Though I guess it's hard to expect so much from a $5 set. Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep all of this in mind when I paint on them 😆
@@JuliRoxArt you're welcome :)
