Very nice to see Del Ramos doing justice to his late brother Larry's lead vocal in Never My Love. I've never grown tired of that song ever since first hearing it in 1967 as a 10 year old kid. It is the greatest love song ever written and performed. The Association's 1967 performance of this song on The Ed Sullivan Show is a masterful performance, with Larry looking at cool as ever in his turtleneck and goatee. Sorely missed.
I'll make sure to pass this along to Del (he's my dad). I'm sure it'll mean the world to him that you think so. I know we and the entire group miss my Uncle Larry very much!

Count me among those who are very grateful for their still being around after 50+ years, in any iteration. I should sound so good when I'm their age! They're out there making people happy with this wonderful music. If it's not your thing - so be it, don't hate. Go home and hug your teddy bear.

One of the first concerts I ever saw was this band, in (I think) 1972. Their Greatest Hits LP was one of the first records I ever bought for myself. Great memories (and still great music!). Thanks for posting!

OK, a double comment from me. Thanks so much for posting this, Douglas!!! I got up from the couch and listened to this with my headphones. The harmonies are gorgeous!! The Association was one of my two favorite groups in the 60's ( the BYRDS being the other). Wonderful video of a fine performance. They never fail to delight!! Been a fan since the first lp on Valiant! Catch them in concert every time they play within 100 miles of the Bay Area.

That is strange. I discovered The Association in 2017 via their `birthday´album and find it musically and artisticly as good as The Beatles and The Beechboys at that time. Now (2021) I discoverd that they played songs from the ´birthday´ album still in 2017....
Anyone who wants to negatively comment on how the band sounds now first I'll say this. They still can play well and harmonize together after all these years. Plus I don't think their sound man is very good they needed to tweak the sound to fit the venue better imo.
They're as good as they ever were, no question about it. That scratching in the right channel is driving me up the wall, however - what the hell IS that?!?

Yes, I think Jim, Larry and Terry wriote three outstanding songs for that film: “Goodbye, Columbus, “It’s Gotta Be Real,” and “So Kind To Me,” respectively.
GOtta give Del credit for really improving on bass. The studio version "Everything That Touches You" had an outrageously difficult bass line (Joe Osborne) in the intro and Del nails it.
It's been over 50 years since this band started and yes only 2 orig members. So what, no band sounds the same after all these years, especially live. Listen to the old tunes and enjoy them while you can. Plenty of old rockers on tour and their voices aren't what they used to be (Mike Love Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, Elton John, John Sebastian Lovin Spoonful, etc.)
