- A New Student is at School in Spanish Class. Crystal is threatened because foreign exchange student Camila knows Spanish better than the teacher. Camila gives Brent Spanish lessons, and that makes Crystal jealous. So Crystal makes fun for her English. The students do a class presentation on Halloween, and Camila does hers on the Dia De Los Muertos holiday in Mexico. Turns out someone is cheating on the Spanish Test, is it Camila or is it Crystal?

My French teacher in HS used to get mad at me for speaking Cajun French in class. I thought since it was a French class, I was supposed to speak French, so until I could learn the Standard French for something, I said it in Cajun French.
It washed between me and her the first day I was in that class. I'd transferred in a week into the semester. They had an HW assignment to learn the names of the animals. They didn't do too good, but I knew the names of all of them. The problem she had with that was the names of some animals (and plants) in Canada and Louisiana are often different from their names in Europe. Sometimes the archaic names persist and sometimes, especially if the animal (or plant) is native to the Americas, their name in Louisiana and Canada comes from Iroquois or Algonquin and in Louisiana you also get animal and plant names that come from Choctaw.
I had her tearing out her hair by the end of that class period..We didn't get along the rest of the year. I lasted one year in HS French. I can still speak Cajun French, though.

Learning Spanish for a year and a quarter and I just bursted at 0:44. I think the subtitler meant “¿Cómo están todos? Feliz estar aquí. Me llamo Camila.”
I remember, when I took a Spanish class in high school, I learned "me llamo es.." is incorrect

I love Spanish . I helped Hispanics with English I Nevada and learned Spanish while doing it. I am learning more of it everyday and wanting to be a medical translator . I am learning other languages as well.

And he should have told them about the hell of carving turnips as we didn't even have pumpkins here in the uk and Ireland until around 20 years ago kids today have it far too easy with their pumpkins to carve oh no we had bent knives and spoons, blisters on top of blisters and if gourse up could take hours to carve and all so we had a little lantern to carry when trick ad treating 🤣🤣 nope kids definitely have it easier now that when we were kids 😃

As a bilingual person, I can see the reason why “llamo” which is a verbal form of name or call(verbs) is confused with “nombre” which means name(noun) is because monolinguals don’t realize different languages have different grammar rules.

6:47 ok so right here the Spanish is wrong. The subtitles say "Estas muy bonita." Despite fact that it is supposed to be "estás," thats not even the right form of the verb. Since they're taking about personality/physical traits, they should have said, "Eres muy bonita." Thats how you know that there was no native speakers on the staff. For shame. But that's not surprising because its Totally Studios.
