Victoria wasn't necessarily strict, she was just being responsible and making sure they are cared, which is what the mom said to do. If she let the kids do whatever they wanted to, they would go spoiled. She just cared for those kids and followed the mom's instructions accordingly and was responsible. As a result, they were tired of sleeping in and eating too much candy. The second babysitter was too careless.
Sure, the kids are supposed to get some fun, but at the same time, they need to be very safe.
As for the second mom, she was a bit confused and followed only what the kids said. And gave them too much candy, which she didn't know was bad for their health. Even worse, she left the kids! That's very unsafe! The first babysitter was clearly more educated to make a better babysitter.

Those children did not appreciate Victoria and the way she cared for them. As the saying goes "you never appreciated the person, until that person is gone"! Victoria was doing her job and also the way she care for them is was protecting and wanting the best for them. She knows that they are excellent children and she is a fantastic babysitter! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

I'm glad that at the end, they showed how much they were grateful for Victoria to babysit. For babysitters who are stern, that shows they care and want to keep you safe and sound as parents would do the same.

My siblings and I had a babysitter until I was 11 and I was old enough to watch my siblings. Babysitters are good as long as they’re responsible and law abiding citizens.

They should have been more grateful with Victoria. When babysitters are strict, that means they care and want to keep you safe, just like a parent. Besides, Victoria was only following the kids' mom's instructions.

Some babysitters are laid back, and some babysitters are strict. There's nothing wrong with being a laid back babysitter as long as you are not negligent. There's nothing wrong with being a strict babysitter as long as you are not abusive. Babysitters should be people who are responsible, not negligent, good at keeping kids safe, and not abusive.
Even though babysitters have some freedom in regards to rules they make in supervising kids they babysit, babysitters still have to obey the rules the parents want them to enforce. If a parent wants the babysitter to make sure the kids don't watch TV until their homework is finished, only wants them to have 1 piece of candy, etc, a babysitter has to enforce those rules. Substitute teachers also have to enforce rules teachers want them to enforce meaning substitute teachers have to follow the teacher's lesson plan, if a teacher doesn't want the substitute allowing students to play silent speed ball during indoor recess, the sub has to make sure no one is playing silent speed ball during indoor recess, if a teacher wants the substitute to collect Math homework, the sub has to make sure the Math homework is collected, etc.
