I don't feel like any of these dress choices would be the most flattering on all body types. The girls are all relatively small and skinny, so i don't feel like it's a completely accurate representation of the range of body types people can have. Or what might be flattering on them. The dress were all mostly form fitting, which isn't usually the most flattering, especially on larger bodies

I'm gonna be real with ya'll. NONE of the dresses you chose would work on anyone over a size 8 or maybe 10 if you're lucky. These are all really revealing too. Disappointed. The last one is the only one a real person might wear. But even then, if you had a large chest, it could be a problem.
They’re all beautiful, but not a single one of their choices in plus size. That’s why a lot of dresses come from those designated companies, the range.
Dress number one is pretty. That being said, it’s not very inclusive. So if you have any women that were larger sizes unfortunately, they wouldn’t be able to be your bridesmaid if you chose the dress because they would not be able to fit it. I am a plus size person and have had to be in weddings before and in the past it was always so stressful because the dresses that the bridesmaids wanted I was not able to wear and so then they would have to look for other dresses, which I felt bad about. so personally, I just think it’s always really important to keep that in mind when shopping for bridesmaid dresses. Know who your shopping for ahead of time. I totally get that it’s your wedding in your vision. However, if you know you want the specific people to be in your wedding make sure you’re aware of their sizes before picking dresses because picking out a dress and then saying hey this is the dress and then having to have someone say well I can’t fit that, and then the bride having to go change the dress again can make the plus size person feel really crappy for having to say I’m sorry I can’t fit into that dress.
Agreed. They don't seem to be very inclusive on here lately for us plus size gals. I made sure my bridesmaids had dresses that were a reasonable price, that they were all comfortable in and could use again. I actually bought myself one to use at a later time.
@@TheOriginalMaudlin for my sister’s wedding the site that she used for her bridesmaids dresses came in a variety of colors and then you could also style them differently which was great. And I loved that they had really inclusive sizes and were really flattering but best of all they had pockets. They were really well priced.

I love them all. Especially the 25 color options. If only the others had that. I was a maid of honor for my sister’s wedding the colors were navy blue with a pop of red.😊
I gave my bridemaids the color I wanted BUT I let them pick the style (within reason) they wanted to pick so it was something comfortable for everyone since everyone had different body types, boob sizes, etc. I didn't want anyone to feel awkward. Also, they all had different budgets so this allowed them to stay within their means without stressing them out over something they may not be able to afford.

...am I the only one that doesn't think looking sexy is the only goal of bridesmaids dresses...? I'm currently planning a wedding, and I want my bridesmaids to be comfortable and elegant. I'm definitely not going for a sexy look. That applies to myself as well. It's a wholesome family event with children and elderly relatives. I would feel so uncomfortable and embarrassed to be at such an event in a slinky dress or with my chest out. I would feel even more uncomfortable asking my family members to wear such a dress while being my bridesmaid. I don't want to ask my sister to look sexy. That's inappropriate.

And you need to consider different body shapes too. Such bodycon dress would only suit some body shapes. I would prefer A-line dress, that suits most body shapes and you do not need to be self conscious the whole day, sucking in your stomach. You can eat the food, dance and enjoy yourself.

I always said that when I get married, I would take my heaviest bridesmaid shopping with me. That way we can get some thing that she feels great in. And if she feels great in it, and the rest of them will too.
Not sure about it. I’m fat and I feel very uncomfortable about my legs. But all of the top of my body is really thin. But my sister is way more thinner than me but she has a big big complex about her arms. Even if they are not that big, She never shows them and will never even for my wedding. So I think the most important is to ask if someone is insecure about something and how much far away they can go about it. Me, I can show my calves but it has to stop below my knees, etc. The heaviest person is not always the most insecure. Or she could also be totally insecure and feel bad about everything and accept nothing.
I find it crazy that they’ve said that 250 is a reasonable price for a bridesmaids dress, maybe it’s just me but that sounds rediculous. All of my bridesmaids dresses have been less than 100! Regardless of whether the bride is paying or the bridesmaids are buying them ourselves
I got married a loooong time ago-fall of 2000. I let my bridesmaids, collectively, pick their own dress. I had 3 bridesmaids, they all had the same dress, just different colors; navy, burgundy, and hunter green. (Those colors were popular back then, ok! 😉😁)

These are nice, but I don't want to make my bridesmaids pay $200 or more on a dress that they may never want to wear again. My girls will be in floor length, black dresses. I'm going to let them choose their style (within reason), but I'd feel bad if they spent more than $150 MAX! $100 or less would be preferred, so if you made a part 2 of this with more inexpensive dresses, that would be perfect!!
Um the dresses you guys chose were cute but they were incredibly impractical. The size ranges of these dresses were frankly just sad, especially Sinead’s pick. Like most people wouldn’t be able to even choose that dress because the majority of women won’t fit into it. Average size in the US is a L-XL so it would be extremely exclusionary to pick a dress like that. A little f*cked up if you ask me. Please do better.
My bridesmaids were all in the same length and fabric, but I let them pick their own silhouette and color (I pre chose the colors and let them choose from those)
Selling bridesmaid dresses in my country would probably be bad business because mostly bridesmaids come together or create a WhatsApp group where they choose a design, what fabric to use n then bring it to a good tailor with everyone's measurements always turns out great

I have the award for the worst bridesmaid's dress. It was floral cotton that looked horrid on the maid-of-honor sister and me. But, the crux of the situation, I was eight months pregnant wearing a cabbage roses all over my dress. Ugh, it was horrible. Truly. Thank God there are no photos.

I agree. Sometimes they make me feel like this channel is not for me and why I even watch it. This is way too expensive and way too body con. More variety, please! Please consider that not everyone is so fit and skinny. It makes me feel depressed. Shouldn´t bridesmaid dress suit multiple body types? Why does it need to be sexy? It is not a party dress or clubbing dress. It must be suitable for church and event with children and elders.
Gorgeous girls in gorgeous dresses. However, I feel like it is the height of privledge that all the dresses chosen were A) SO expensive and B) didn't come any bigger than an XL. Bridesmaids come in at all different budgets and all different sizes. As someone who has been a bridesmaid 4 times, I can tell you that none of those dresses (besides the one chosen by viewers) would have worked for any of the bridal parties. See I didnt want my wedding to be the one that everyone hated their dresses. So what I went with was a long strapless A line with a small braided band just under the bust. The dress was navy blue and the band was silver. I made sure my girls liked their dresses honestly. And they did, plus I made sure it was functional for other things. Honestly the pics of the wedding many enjoyed and the girls looked amazing. I didn't want this fashion disaster.

I find it crazy that they’ve said that 250 is a reasonable price for a bridesmaids dress, maybe it’s just me but that sounds rediculous. All of my bridesmaids dresses have been less than 100! Regardless of whether the bride is paying or the bridesmaids are buying them ourselves
I got married a loooong time ago-fall of 2000. I let my bridesmaids, collectively, pick their own dress. I had 3 bridesmaids, they all had the same dress, just different colors; navy, burgundy, and hunter green. (Those colors were popular back then, ok! 😉😁)

These are nice, but I don't want to make my bridesmaids pay $200 or more on a dress that they may never want to wear again. My girls will be in floor length, black dresses. I'm going to let them choose their style (within reason), but I'd feel bad if they spent more than $150 MAX! $100 or less would be preferred, so if you made a part 2 of this with more inexpensive dresses, that would be perfect!!
Um the dresses you guys chose were cute but they were incredibly impractical. The size ranges of these dresses were frankly just sad, especially Sinead’s pick. Like most people wouldn’t be able to even choose that dress because the majority of women won’t fit into it. Average size in the US is a L-XL so it would be extremely exclusionary to pick a dress like that. A little f*cked up if you ask me. Please do better.

Selling bridesmaid dresses in my country would probably be bad business because mostly bridesmaids come together or create a WhatsApp group where they choose a design, what fabric to use n then bring it to a good tailor with everyone's measurements always turns out great

I have the award for the worst bridesmaid's dress. It was floral cotton that looked horrid on the maid-of-honor sister and me. But, the crux of the situation, I was eight months pregnant wearing a cabbage roses all over my dress. Ugh, it was horrible. Truly. Thank God there are no photos.

I agree. Sometimes they make me feel like this channel is not for me and why I even watch it. This is way too expensive and way too body con. More variety, please! Please consider that not everyone is so fit and skinny. It makes me feel depressed. Shouldn´t bridesmaid dress suit multiple body types? Why does it need to be sexy? It is not a party dress or clubbing dress. It must be suitable for church and event with children and elders.
My cousins didn't have ugly bridesmaids' dresses for their weddings. The last wedding I went to was my cousin's and it was 20s themed.

Gorgeous girls in gorgeous dresses. However, I feel like it is the height of privledge that all the dresses chosen were A) SO expensive and B) didn't come any bigger than an XL. Bridesmaids come in at all different budgets and all different sizes. As someone who has been a bridesmaid 4 times, I can tell you that none of those dresses (besides the one chosen by viewers) would have worked for any of the bridal parties. Clevver, I love ya'll, but you need more plus size girlies on this channel. ❤

See I didnt want my wedding to be the one that everyone hated their dresses. So what I went with was a long strapless A line with a small braided band just under the bust. The dress was navy blue and the band was silver. I made sure my girls liked their dresses honestly. And they did, plus I made sure it was functional for other things. Honestly the pics of the wedding many enjoyed and the girls looked amazing. I didn't want this fashion disaster.
