This is so timely. I’m 4 months into my loc journey and I had some baby locks created from new growth from some of my budding locs by a new loctitian 🥴! She recommended a create more because I had expressed I didn’t like the volume of my hair! I’m afraid that they won’t grow properly, some are kind of weak (it’s been a month since the newbies were made and the older ones were cut through) but I think I’ll leave them alone until October and retwist them then?

Congrats on 4 months! That sounds like a good plan. Remember though that a thin loc isn’t equivalent to a weak loc; I showed an example in my video. Now, if you just don’t like the size of it in relation to your other locs, then that’s another story. But if you don’t mind the size, then just make sure you continue to incorporate that same amount of hair into the loc each time you do maintenance and it’ll be fine. I will cut a loc before I go through “repairing” one. It’ll do what hair does and grow back. I was looking for solutions for one loc and said fuck it ✂️ I put some loc jewelry on my baby and went to bed 😂

My stylist said cause of my locs thinning imma have to trim my hair which is a bit past my behind but I don't want to imma just have her retwist themed see wat happenes

Maybe you could also try wearing them up in a tam if that’s the true cause of the thinning. It would relieve the pulling that’s happening as a result of gravity while they’re hanging🤞🏾🙂
