Japanese Distillery Hibiki.
Here we have the expensive, yet delightful, expression Harmony Master’s Select Limited Edition.
This is the creation of 4th Generation chief blender, Shinji Fukuyo.
Sold in a beautifully designed bottle, detailing the cheery blossom (Sakura flower), the royal carriage (Goshoguruma) and streaming water (Ryusuimon).
43% crafted from 10 malts and grains (including Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita) and prior to blending aged in 5 different casks including, Mizunara.
OPINION:
Delightful dram, with a surprising linger. Is it worth the money? Unless you are “flash for cash”, no it is not. Is it worth experiencing? Absolutely!
NOTES:
Nose - clean, sweet with a hint of grain.
Taste - gains as one drinks it with an enjoyable smooth honeyed fruit and a balanced grain texture.
Finish - surprisingly longer than expected.
