Clean your table top and your screen when you fly, they should have bio hazard signs on them, I have done 14 long haul flights (11hrs+ each) this year so far and have not got sick, don't forget to use hand sanitizer.

to me, m7 was the last great droid phone. it looked the best, had the best build quality, and had innovative features like front facing speakers. def a worthy phone which i still use today. considered the mini Z5 but it was too expensive.
I also use a m7 and I wish they went back to that design.
I would buy one because its the HTC m7 on steroids :D

Yea I have the same issue. I'd like to upgrade, but nothing really has all the features I want at the same size of the m7...
the closest thing i found was the Z5 compact, but its grosly overpriced. finding even a 2nd hand one is a chore.

1. Take the design of the original HTC ONE
2. Put a 5.2'' 4k Screen on it. - Why 4k ? Because of 1080p upscaling in games and 4k video and VR support
3. Make it 3mm thicker and put a 3500mah battery in
4. Make the back removeable so that you can switch out the battery if needed
5. Put an IR Emitter in
6. Let the Exynos and Snapdragon have a baby with the multitasking power of the exynos and the graphic power of the adreno gpu.
7. Allow Dual Sim + Micro SD Card
8. USB Type C

We really need a direct comparison/review with comparisons.
From what I've seen they have nearly identical specifications. The only differences are OP3 has 1080p screen, ZTE has 1440p. OP3 has 6gb ram, ZTE has 4gb. OP3 can't use an sd card, ZTE can use sd card. Both have dual sim slots tho. ZTE has a slightly bigger battery. ZTE has those booming speakers.
I really want that expandable sd storage, but I don't care for 1440p, so with more ram and a lower res screen, I expect the OP3 to run faster most times.

The onscreen buttons in this video look much better than the capacitive buttons on the final release device that were clearly just tacked on at the last second

haha no opt is cheaper, more ram, same processor and freakyfast charging/fignerprint scanner. I just don't like the ui of opt, so bulky and not customizable

I love the OnePlus 3, but a 1080p screen won't work well with a VR headset, I've never got to properly try a VR headset either which sucks, I've only used the Dev Kit 2 of the Oculus Rift, and the 1440p screen on the Axon 7 will help with that issue, BUT, the battery is worrysome if you don't have an outlet nearby for a quickcharge, and the 1080p screen helps with the performance of games on the OP3!
+Mew [Jacob/PwnAzn] Thanks for the swift reply! I dont think I will use my phone for VR just yet, so the 1080p screen is a small sacrifice in my book. When I delve into VR I will probably go for a stand-alone headset. I want more VR content before I take such a dive. I didnt even think about the power draw of a 1080p screen vs 1440p, thanks. A longer battery life is always good. Lastly I will put a case on my phone no matter what, so even if the axon has better audio, at least I wont have trouble with a fingerprint sensor. OP3 for me I think.

Honestly, ZTE really nailed this. They have really taken into account that someone like Linus, with 2m+ subscribers, has a heavy influence on tech sales. It seems like he was given VIP treatment but really this is exactly how a PR branch of a company should treat somebody who could vastly impact the sales of a new device.
I love that Linus is traveling to new countries to cover events and certain tech videos. It's awesome XD

Not sure if there's an annotation that corrected it, since I'm watching it on an iPad as I type this, but the Axon 7 now has a 3,250mAh battery. Some of the specs have been tweaked since then.
Seeing it from the back I was like "is that an old HTC?". Then it turned around, and yes.

Phone launched for $400 in the US not $449 I have had mine for about a week now and I can honestly say i'm impressed.
0:03 - It's zed, there's nothing to keep track of, that's the way it's pronounced on in the case of Canada.
The ZTE Axon 7 does not support all the LTE Band in Australia and the LTE Bands are Band 1(used by Telstra, Optus and Vodafone), 3(used by Telstra, Optus and Vodafone), 5(Used by Vodafone), 7(used by Telstra and Optus), 8(used by Telstra), 28(Used by Telstra and Optus) and 40(used by Optus) and the Major band are Optus(Band 1, 3, 7, 28 and TD-LTE 40) Telstra(Band 3, 8, and 28) and Vodafone(Band 3 and 5).
The Axon 7 does not support band 28 and TD-LTE 40
Though I prefer front mounted fingerprint sensors, dual front mounted speakers more than make up for it!

Your battery specs are wrong, it has actually an 3250 mah battery. They scaled it up after the first launch event, so is this from the launch event in may? It's also got the onscreen buttons, so this seems pretty outdated.

Not sure the rear finger print scan makes sense. Too close to the camera lenses which will get oils from your fingers on it all the time. I do like the design though and front speakers is a good idea.
Seems like they took the Boom Sound from the M7-9. Wish HTC themselves would have stuck to it. My favorite part of my M9.

I've been hearing a lot of conflicting numbers when it comes to the ZTE Axon 7. I've heard 3250 mAh vs 3140 mAh battery, 2k vs 1440p display, etc. I'm not sure which to believe
Was there a reason this wasn't posted until now when the event was in May? The phone launched in the US/Canada (with capacitive buttons) on 7/27.
What is that between the camera and the fingerprint reader? Looks like an LED flash maybe?

This phone seems to check off of my checkboxes. My M7 had a camera problem with resolution and my Nexus 6 just has a bad one entirely and is without type-c and a fingerprint sensor. I may just upgrade to this one eventually.
So, this it what a phone can look like if manufacturers actually listen to consumer demands. Definitely interested to replace my old Nexus 5 with this.
