The name of Cheng Man Ching salle (dojo, academy) in New York was "The Hall of Happiness" were they laughed and had fun while learning Tai Chi, your attitude comes as close as i believe it's possible to that ideal. Keep the good work going and congratulations. Cheers

Hello Dante - great video (and channel)! Because (1) it would be an offense, and police arrest, to carry many of the "traditional" weapons, (2) as I myself am older, less muscles, and (3) the bad guys do carry weapons. We don't fight against guns, but if some knife or razor blade, then a cane or umbrella gives us longer reach, rather than bare hands.
I wonder if you could post more videos on form / moves, and demonstrate how to use, using cane. That is a good disguise, and no police will stop us. Also single stick and double stick (I remember seeing in one Jet Li movie). Because shorter sticks can be put inside a backpack or laptop bag, and pulled out if needed. Thank you!!

You look like you had fun with this 👍🤣.
I was (honestly making my own version of this from nothing today !)
I already know Chen short stick and some other arts.
I think many bad guys would attempt to kick your stick away. To make you fall, so i practice with this in mind.
If they kick my stick to my left then i bend right and rotate 💥 side of the head. If he's still standing? Then a straight thrust to the plexis . "If" they are still up ???
Base of the stick to the chin 💥and curved part into the 😱area. Then slide the stick between their arms to the side of his head and rotate to throw. Any resistance just reverse into a headlock and throw , possible second 💥 to the 😱 area as he fly's 🤢😭😭
Careful how you walk with your "Swagger" stick.
You carry it in a perfect position to perform the -
"Come along" move on you ! A move used by 🇬🇧 military police to capture prisoners. Basically they trap your arm using your stick !
Last - try a spin going forward and upwards to the 😱 area ! Even if blocked you can reverse spin so quickly and crack his head instead.
Love my Swords and fan's /staffs. But my curved handle walking stick is peaceful, practical, legal and just as effective if your on the recieving end💥..
Not even covered restraint, capture, locks.😂😅

“The Hall of Happiness” (“Tang Le Kuai”). The text of the poem appears below as translated by Tam Gibbs: May the joy that is everlasting gather in this hall. Not the joy of a sumptuous feast, which slips away even as we leave the table; nor that which music brings-it is only of a limited duration. Beauty and a pretty face are like flowers; they bloom for a while, then die. Even our youth slips swiftly away and is gone. No; enduring happiness is not in

Ah, j'aimerais bien apprendre des formes d'armes avec toi ( canne, tri bâton, couteaux papillons, chaine...) avant que mon corps ne dise stop aux postures externes trop engagées (usure). Comment faire cela pratiquement?

these, nor in the three joys of Tung Kung. We may as well forget them, for the joy I mean is worlds away from these. It is the joy of continuous growth, of helping to develop in ourselves and others the talents and abilities with which we were born-the gifts of heaven to mortal men. It is to revive the exhausted and to rejuvenate that which is in decline so that we are enabled to dispel sickness and suffering. Let true affection and happy concourse abide in this hall. Let us here correct our past mistakes and lose preoccupation with self. With the constancy of the planets in their courses or of the dragon in his cloud-wrapped path, let us enter the land of health and ever after walk within its bounds. Let us fortify ourselves against weakness and learn to be self-reliant, without ever a moment’s lapse. Then our resolution will become the very air we breathe, the world we live in; then we will be as happy as a fish in crystal waters. This is the joy which lasts, that we can carry with us to the end of our days. And tell me, if you can; what greater happiness can life bestow?
