- This is my cover of one of my favourite songs Ziggy Stardust by the legend David Bowie. I've wanted to cover it for a while an will never feel like I can pull it off but I wanted to try! Hope you don't hate it haha, also I am now aware that it's "break our balls" not "break our bones" and yes I'm annoyed I messed that up.

Just addressing this as the comments keep coming: I know the lighting bolt is on my left eye but Bowie had it on his right eye, I didn’t look that deep into it as I didn’t think it mattered. I also know it’s from the Aladdin Sane album cover. Again, I didn’t think it mattered as it’s a David Bowie look and a lot of people relate it to Ziggy Stardust because of the background of the album. I just did some makeup that I thought would be fun for the song. Wasn’t aware it’d offend someone if it was on the ‘wrong eye’ or from the ‘wrong song’. Apologies. Won’t be reading the comments on this video anymore as I’m just getting kind of tired of the platform and people’s pettiness and I don’t want it to stop me making videos.
P.s I also thought about doing the little anchor under my eye instead from the ‘John I’m only dancing’ video but I thought the lightning bolt would be more fun and fitting for ziggy stardust. It’s just makeup 👍🏻

This performance is brilliant. Make up, hair, and nails are pretty. When you sang the phrase " like a leper messiah" , I got good chills. I'm very critical of Bowie cover songs. This one warmed my 💖

There will always be pretentious twats who like nothing more than pick holes in something and make people feel bad. Some people are very precious about Bowie and will jump on it if they think it’s slighlty not right but that’s no excuse for nastiness. Stay true to yourself and keeping doing what you doing as for every one person that has something negative to say you may a thousand others happy xx

I am little bit jealous, you know why ? I would like to learn many songs to make a cover like you, but for the French people it is not easy and I m French like you can understand. I have to use a long time before to be able to sing just one English song. One more thing, when English people hear an English song everything is clear about the lyrics and the sense of the song, not for me.. The lightning bolt is Aladdin Sane, not Ziggy
It's from the Aladdin Sane album cover, the Aladdin Sane has 're visits' to Ziggy Stardust and the lightning bolt makeup look often reminds people of Ziggy Stardust, also either way it's a David Bowie look, if I'd worn the make up he wore for any video I'd have imagined it would be an acceptable thing to do for a cover video on UA-cam. Wasn't expecting criticism for such non-issues but fair enough.
'The name of the album is a pun on "A Lad Insane". An early variation was "Love Aladdin Vein", which David Bowie dropped partly because of its drug connotations. Although technically a new Bowie 'character', Aladdin Sane was essentially a development of Ziggy Stardust in his appearance and persona, as evidenced on the cover by Brian Duffy and in Bowie's live performances throughout 1973 that culminated in Ziggy's 'retirement' at the Hammersmith Odeon in July that year. ' not that any of it should matter as all I did was wear my make up the way I wanted for my video. But there's alllllways someone who wants to try and find any tiny little thing to create some negativity on my videos.
lizzietupman The cover was great.. I was just making a point. I'm very aware of the Aladdin Sane album background, and while it may be a Ziggy based persona, it still was not ziggy. I said this mostly because of the makeup tutorial that was also posted under "ziggy"
I've noticed that the women whom cover this song have pretty teeth.
