Grease on those bearings will not allow 2 cycle oil to get to them. Thats a big no no!!

Service manual calls for grease!!!!! BOTH in the bearing and seal cavity

@@chainsawredeemer85 that makes no sense. I've always been taught that's a no no. I worked at a Penske Auto in Spokane and f250 Ford came in for new axle bearings and those get lube from the 90wt oil in rear-end and this new guy packed them with grease and they burnt up in 1000 miles because grease wouldn't allow the oil to do its job. You can grease them with oil but not grease. I've never seen anybody grease the crank bearings ever! But you do you I guess! Good luck!

@@tedneitzel I have OEM STIHL service manual for this and MANY models, they all say to Grease the bearings. Granted these are ALL 0 series saws and maybe they have changed this step but I see saw builders packing the outside cavity all the time. I suppose now I have to ask my GOLD status syihl buddies and my local husqvarna dealer what they do. I am always open to the possibility I am doing something incorrectly but I am currently only going by what the manual for this specific saw tells me to do.

@@tedneitzel Stihl actually makes Grease specifically for this application now that I think of it. They make several different greases for springs and bearings and such. Just like stihl needle cage wrist pin bearings call for high temp grease they are inside the motor also. But as I said I'm going to do more research. I always appreciate your input neighbor Ted! On another note the blowback issues, gonna try different mix tomorrow. Scientifically atomization of the fuel when the air hits it going into the venturi might not be happening. If the fuel cannot be broken into smaller particles it cannot be pulled into the motor as easily... my theory anyway given I know it atomizes and becomes smaller molecules and therefore lighter and more of a mist instead of flow if that makes sense

@@chainsawredeemer85 I'm going to double check this and if I'm wrong I have no issues coming back and telling you I'm wrong. How's that lol.
