Great information. Thanks so much! I'm trying to get my business set up to sell real gems as well as costume jewelry. Your video was so very helpful!!! You go GIRL!!!
I watch you constantly and have learned so much. I am working on pricing a bit higher like you do. I tend to get frustrated by how long my items sit because most of what I find is unbranded. I think I need to keep working on key words. Thanks for all you do. 😀
AgOg Mom, I just wanted to say that I do similar work, buying and selling and I know how it feels when you buy something you really love, but it isn't selling. Do keep working on your keywords. Maybe download a book to your phone or kindle about buying and selling. The detailed info will really help. I wish you all the best.
This is one of your best videos that I have seen very informative and interesting. Still learning here. So much to learn. Thanks for the video and your time.
This was a great video. Thank You! Learned about Rivoli stones and what to look for. I often get overwhelmed when at an estate sale. loved all the insight and the info on what you are going to sell it for.
I volunteer at a thrift store in the Netherlands. The jewelry here goes from 50 cents to very expensive at 1 euro. 😆 Resellers come in Thursday mornings when the display gets restocked. I've been collecting and have first choice as a volunteer. I even get a discount. If anyone really wants first choice on anything volunteer your time. It's fun, helpful and it pays off. 😊
New to your channel. Whoa, am I ever learning a Lot! Thank you so much. My Mom is having a garage sale and I brought all her custume jewelry home to check it. I subscribed..🥰🥰🥰
I really enjoyed your video on costume jewelry and how your critiqued them. Learned a lot about stones used in jewelry I didn't know. Great job on this video. Thanks for your tutorial videos. Love your nails.
My biggest problem with my 'jewelry resale business' is that I love everything too much. I'm good at picking pieces but terrible at getting them listed!
Margaret I’m having a hard time selling jewelry lots. Economy??? Started high now down to 9 lbs for 9.99 shipping close yo $20. Should I break it down to lower weight? Thanks for all your tips. 🥰
Thank you for this information. Can you do a video on pricing things like faux pearls, aurora borealis pieces and some of the principles you use to price? Cheers
Haven't watched any UA-cam videos in awhile, checking out your latest video and WOW your hair looks really nice n that style.. fit's your face perfect 👌..Love watching and learning from your vids.
Did you ever try to buy jewelry jars? Or huge bags from shopgoodwill.com? You’ll be amazed what you can find there. Gold, tons of silver, gemstones... I found 18k diamond necklace, David Yurman, NWT Bulova watches, just to name a few.
I have about 10 LARGE boxes of jewelry that I need to start looking through. I see some of the cuff links that you had that are in some of my stuff. I am considering switching over to jewelry only as it doesn't take up as much space....lol
@@TexasGalTreasures any and all information would be so appreciated from storage my good things to getting the total junk out of the way, yep I hate to say it but a couple of random sellers really got me every single think was broken, one of the first lots that I bought, I wanted proof cry, the felt so foolish for even buying. Any way have sort of bounced back and seem to still have the bug. But I definitely don't have the knowledge yet. Thank You,, Thank You.. Becky
Keep doing that Carol. I love collecting different kinds of items, but I would only buy something that I like. If you are selling it, liking the item gives YOU confidence that you are in fact selling something that has quality.
Cool and I loving going to goodwill for Jewelry, clothes, and toy. But after the reopening in California the rules are different and I been harassed by other resellers for buy a jewelry jar or even looking at a jar first before her. And the price are going up from 50 to 100 even 250 dollars and Single jewelry in the 7.99 to 14.99. For me I pay for Jewelry jars from 24.99 -80.00 if I’m lucky to find them now. But for 100 and up it really has to be full jar and good enough to pay it. I have seen 250 dollars jar and it only has 15 pieces of jewelry that’s a pass for me.
Not a jewelry reseller but have tons. I buy tons of beautiful NEW sterling silver, designer costume etc. For between 15-30 dollars. I m talking earrings, necklaces, bracelets pretty much everything. Brand new sterling stamped 925 and lots of designer costume. I’m shocked that someone would pay 15-20 on Christmas pin with bear and earrings that are clearly costume for 20-30 dollars. Guess I have a lot to learn about reselling jewelry. I would clean up at pricing like you do just on my sterling silver. Thanks for all the information!
@Barbara Malkus remember, thrift stores have items brought to them, and they get their items for free. Resellers like you, on the other hand, have to go out and find inventory, and you have to shell out money to obtain it. You need to compensate for your time and expenses. Otherwise, why bother?
Thanks so much. I’ve been gathering pieces here and there to begin, and have learned a lot “ treasure hunting “ as a kid with my dad in Waxahachie, and Houston... but now my youngest is 15, living in Michigan and I have an Etsy store but not vintage... honestly, I appreciate this and your Facebook page so much. Learning and love your sense of humor ! Excellent channel !
I sell on Mercari and I do rather well on this selling sight. I also sell on Posh and it's not as good for me ,sorta sporadic. However I've never sold in Ebay as of yet , should I? Is it good for jewelry sales? And Etsy confuses me and it seems more difficult than it needs to be .
I think she was referring to Charming Charlies. Which was a retail store that went out of business during the pandemic. They sold lots of costume jewelry. Kind of like a Claire's or Icing store.
I second the question about keywords, I know keywords are very important and are kept close to the vest to keep a selling edge, but I would appreciate a place to start as far a that goes :D also, not sure if you have covered your process, as far as what you deem integral to making your business a success...like maybe a ranking of what things are at the top of the list and what things are at the bottom. Also, if you have not covered it..Lots as opposed to single pieces and why :)
