- Teotihuacán, (Nahuatl: “The City of the Gods”) the most important and largest city of pre-Aztec central Mexico. At its apogee (c. 500 ce), it encompassed some 8 square miles (20 square km) and supported a population estimated at 125,000-200,000, making it, at the time, one of the largest cities in the world. It was the region’s major economic as well as religious centre.
The Maya civilization was one of the most dominant Indigenous societies of Mesoamerica. The Classic Period, which began around A.D. 250, was the golden age of the Maya Empire. Classic Maya civilization grew to some 40 cities, including Tikal, Uaxactún, Copán, Bonampak, Dos Pilas, Calakmul, Palenque and Río Bec; each city held a population of between 5,000 and 50,000 people. At its peak, the Maya population may have reached 2,000,000 or as many as 10,000,000.

Wow, I never thought I would see the history of Mesoamerica in such detail. Everyone is used to the ancient history of Europe, Africa and Asia. It's like seeing the story from another dimension or an alternate history! there were kingdoms, cosmopolitan and urban cities with colorful pyramids and buildings with constant activity, legendary kings with deeds written in stone, generals who subdued cities like siyaj k'ak, there were marriage agreements, alliances and enemies, wars, attack strategies, mathematics and writing, trade, deforestation and overpopulation. Many believe that the Mesoamericans were tribes that lived in the jungle and built random stone pyramids, when in fact that description is the least accurate possible. Good job Edhaje!
It's understandable why mayas didn't usually wear big clothes and at most they wore loincloths or light robes. The heat there is UNBEARABLE.
Great video. First the Incas and now a video about the Mayas. Another one coming up about the Aztecs?
Another big compliment for your work.

9:10 I don't think so. The Olmec were playing the Ball game much earlier. The Maya too. The Hero twins from the popol vu are played out in Ball Game ceremonies. When they weren't playing for fun. Olmec means the people of the Rubber tree.
Good video
I’m so proud of my ancestors 🥲which are the Aztecs
Also the discovery of '0' terms in number was from Aztecs, not Greeks or Romans who discovered it that time.
