When I play public lobbies in VR games the public chat is usually popping off and it reminds me of gaming on Xbox and Xbox 360 before they released party chat systems
Probably because VR is still in its infancy and games have to truly be good to succeed. The video game market has become saturated and complacent with serving customers literal shit.
If they add some sort of social hub to this game, it would be such an amazing starting point for an MMORPG. Anyone play Dungeons and Dragons Online? The one from back in the mid 2000s. The "hub world" there is just a big city, and you enter all sorts of buildings to get into the dungeons. It's nice to have a "home city" in RPG games. A place where everyone hangs out between missions. Checking out gear, showing off gear, buying potions etc. If they keep updating and expanding this game, it could become one of the biggest games in VR. I wish Zenith's combat was this good.
Mmo would be tough to implement. But just a hub to grab 4 people and jump to a dungeon would be great. Like they said in the video have your own room with items to show off. As you crawl through the dungeon there can be a rest portal that teleports you to a random players room to restock on items etc and give you that chance to show stuff off.

My friend finally pulled the trigger on a Quest 3 yesterday (I have a Rift S and Quest 2 and have been suggesting to get into VR for a unique gaming experience). He found this game late yesterday afternoon and we decided to try it out. We had a blast and played from about 9:30 PM until about 1 AM. Needles to say based on the length of time we played, we were very impressed with this game.
The arms not changing appearance is a bizarre design choice, highlighted even more because everything else is done so well. I'm super picky about hands when customization is involved. Hope that is something they plan to revisit. Holding off on playing this until I get my Quest 3 in FOUR DAYS, woo!
I think one of the reasons is the developers didn't expect this massive positive response so the initial roadmap was a bit conservative. Once the money/support starts flowing from both the paying customers and Meta, I'm sure they'll feel confident enough to actually implement such extra features, maybe hire some more extra artists, programmers etc.
My developer friend (not one working on this game) said that including the arms changing and seeing your whole body with different suits of armour... would increase development costs on this title by 500x. Sorry to say it, but... good luck getting that included in this game guys.
