- Tom Schuman wraps up his three part series on the creation of the tune, "Inevitable Changes" from his latest CD, Designated Planets. What started out as a tutorial on writing music "improvisationally" ended up as a classic Schuman piece featuring Joel Rosenblatt on drums, Vinny Valentino on guitars and Sarah Brooks on vocals.
Hi Tom, so glad that your channel came up on my feed and to see that you’re doing well. Spyro Gyra played an amazing show for us soldiers in the Sinai in 1996. I met you after the show and you were so kind to me. We discussed different jazz artists and albums and I appreciate how generous you were with your time. Tom having met you in Cranston,RI and watched you do your magic I must say that you are the best in the history of jazz fusion. I did also see you in Boston at Scullers and must say I was blown away with your fantastic performance . I have to say I'm sorry for my over indulgence of adult beverages I made a specticle of myself during the show and owe you and Spyro Gyra a heart felt appology for my drunken stupidity . Please forgive me for my actions during the show and let the group know I was so embarrassed after the show I couldn't face you all to say sorry. I love the magic that you and the group puts together. We did get together at the bar before the show with Julio and it made me so happy to be with such greatness. I must tell you that you are a fantastic entertainer but the way you play you are a magician. YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank You Michael

Hi Tom, the bass sounds different from the original laid down. Who filled in the bass part?
I re-played the bass using my trilogy VST plugin and an MBD-1 bass module.
