Myopathic Gait Demonstration
With muscular diseases, the proximal pelvic girdle muscles are usually the most weak. Because of this the patient will not be able to stabilize the pelvis as they lift their leg to step forward, so the pelvis will tilt toward the non-weight bearing leg which results in a waddle type of gait.
This guy is a boss
No, u are :)
many people walk like this on the runway in fashion shows
I learnt many pathological gait patterns with your videos. Also, your videos about infants' reflexes is great. Many Thanks.

im confused bc this is what professional PTs are all telling me to do , what he is demonstrating saying I need to weight shift over to free up the other leg..... shift all our weight to the stance leg... head arm trunk.... and pelvis should move up down back forth, and transverse plane a little. . SO... what is the answer?? HELP

yes, this is the same as "waddling gait" :)
@hecutler1111 for Dr. Hall?
I suppose when pt or his or her relatives complain that the pt walks like a duck.. It is this myopathic gait..
I can walk backwards perfect why not foward
@zdazzle14 So you should've read the Channel's title :)
lol...props to this doctor for demonstrating all these gait...eheeyyyy
Trendelenburg gait
Didn't realise it's GTA Vice City girls' walk before
see a physiotherapist/ orthopaedic surgeon (both would know), furthermore wouldn't hurt to ask on Reddit Medical section (many doctors on there willing to advise you) best of luck
This is trendelenburg gait right?..
bi trendeleburg gait and trendelenburg alone it just a unilateral waddling gait which mean only one aspect of ur hip that abducted when u walk .
isn't this the catwalk walk?
WHAT A GOD
is this the same as a trendelenberg gait?
yes
it't so true :)
He is attempting to demonstrate what happens in Trendelenburg gait but this is wrong. The patient leans over to the affected side to minimize the muscular activity needed by the gluteus medius in order to stabilize the hip while walking. Not to the non affected side as suggested in this video. This man walks like a penguin. I have never seen any patient with any condition walk like this
So, you are a Victoria secret model 🤙🏽 😂 thanks
Look like a victoria secret's model
Please text conversations
I just saw a different video which explained why in Trendelenburg gait (the pelvic drop that this man described, due to the gluteus medius failing to stabilize the pelvis while walking), the patient leans over TO THE WEAK SIDE in order to minimize the muscular activity that is needed by the hip abductors in order to stabilize the pelvis while walking. It makes perfect sense. The patient does NOT lean over to the non affected side, as suggested in this video. Neither have I ever seen any patient walk like this man demonstrated. Only penguins walk this way and penguins don’t have weak gluteus medius
Dwarf gait
Haha that's quite funny...1:22 - 1:37
