And this one too! I love Irma. Where IS Minnie getting the money? betting? She was never that lucky! I have to do some research or hope for the answers soon. :-) Thank you so much.
It's Patrick McAlinney, he played Dr Daley on Bless Me Father. That's a voice you don't forget and is the same one he had on Bless Me Father. He co-starred there with fellow Street actor Arthur Lowe who played Leonard Swindley and is credited on this episode.

All these old episodes 10 times better than the current corries! Better stories , superior acting and they were FUN !
Really enjoying these 60 year old classic episodes. i hope they don't get removed as soon as they appear.
Another fab episode, thank you. Elsie & Irma stand out for me. Poor Jack forgetting lines mid stream. Glad camera quickly switched.
You can hear a baby off-camera rather loudly. Perhaps that distracted him and he wasn't sure if they were meant to keep going or not.
I loved Irma - She is still alive - I hope she is well - and happy - Wouldnt it be a lovely miracle if she read this and replied
Sandra gough is still alive
