Applause for just getting on with the comparison. So many channels have filler intros.

    • @riaz8783

@Bzake Even so, it's still a better way of doing it. You've clicked on a video that says what it is, you don't need a two minute intro where someone says "Hi, choosing an OLED is hard, I've got two today and we're going to compare" blah blah blah, insert useless intro animation. We can read the title, we don't need that.

@Bzake I noticed long intros and fillers after UA-cam better monetize for videos longer than 10 minutes 5 years ago. That drive all short vids to other platforms. Now, youtube is trying to bring short video back. UA-cam screwed up. Note this video is 10:01.

@Bzake Normally depends on if they have a sponsorship at the start or not. A comparable video would be Digital Trends review of the LG C2, the first minute is pure filler.

Never been into display technology too much besides knowing the basic differences of OLED, LCD, and CRT displays. Heard a lot of great things about QD-OLED and the technology behind it seemed to support that, so I wanted to look into it more in comparison to existing OLED displays, and that’s how I got here. Point being, the lack of any sort of intro or sponsor is really cool to see, because most content creators seem to feel that those are necessary, but it really was nice to just click on a video with a title suggesting it had what I was looking for, and immediately get that content I was looking for. 10/10

I remember your concerns about more concise videos of shorter duration gaining more traction and that you may have to change your approach, but this very video is an example of the perfect balance!
People come to your channel because of who you are Vincent, we're here for the depth!
Getting straight on with it with bullet point-esque style has kept video length very very short relative to the amount of technical information in this video.
No compromise on who you are but a very clear concise use of time, this is the sweet spot 😁

I've looked through so many reviews but nobody has measured the input lag or response times of the 43 inch QN90B when using 144hz. Which TV would be better for competitive FPS games? Excellent video, the LG C2 42" I recently purchase is working well, a first I was disappointed that I couldn't get 120Hz until I realized that my Titan RTX HDMI output is only 2.0. Using Titan RTX DisplayPort 1.4 out and converting to HDMI (cable) get me 120Hz refresh rate but then I had issues where G-sync was no longer available and switching between HDR mode standard mode would often result in "no signal" ... I ended up going back to 60Hz HDMI 2.0 to LG C2 HDMI 2.1. Anyway, I'm so happy with the LG C2 42" image quality that I went ahead and bought a LG C2 77" to replace my aging Sony OLED A1E. The LG C2 42" is perfect for both gaming and regular desktop work (I'm a software engineer). I didn't see enough "good" in the Alienware QD-OLED and it's smaller dimensions and resolution ... and of course availability.

I was thinking about getting the Alienware first but got the C242 inch because although in very niche situations and then QD will look better the overall usability of a 42 inch screen is much better not only for reading webpages but for having a wider field of view in a game also for movies as well because it’s affectively at 38 inch Ultra Wide with a 21 x 9 video. Both are over so both are going to be amazing they anywhere better picture quality for sure but a bigger screen with the higher resolution I think it’s better overall plus the price difference is there the LG is a lot cheaper right now.

I went with the 42" C2 recently as it's now cheaper then the AW QD-OLED. I actually like it more then I thought I would. I picked up a 77" A80J earlier this year but I wanted something smaller for my PC and consoles. The 4K 16:9 made more sense and it was flat as I'm not a fan of the curve unless it's 32:9. One thing cool with the C2 is that you could change the aspect ratio. If you make it 21:9 it will give you around a 38" UW. The SUW is nice but it's too small for me on the 42" C2. I don't want to get the 48" as that's too big for my setup. I won't be using 32:9 though so I'm not too worried about it.
One thing I noticed is that why didn't Vincent just change the aspect ratio to 21:9 to match the AW QD-OLED? That would've been a test I wanna see. The C2 does default to 1080p when doing 21:9 though but you could up the resolution I believe so that I could be sharper.

Honestly, the main issue I had with this monitor was that I got incredibly dizzy after staring at it for days. It occurred when lying horizontal and turning my head left. kinda sucks how there's no clear cut winner. it seemed like the alienware was going to be a landslide at first, but its shortcomings are actually pretty bad. specially the contrast on bright rooms, that's kind of a deal breaker tbh.
