It's really hard to tell because of elevation differences but I usually will start out with a 120 main. I will run the bike and then check the plug for that nice brown color.
Great video like always! Working on getting mine running right. I think the 15.5 pilot jet I had in it makes it idle too high for the hisun 196 stock engine. Im higher elevation around 3200. What could it be? Could it be I need to change the pilot jet?
Sometimes the cable holds the slide up slightly which causes a fast idle. The cable possibly could be adjusted so it won't let the slide all the way down.
@@Black66 thanks for the reply. I actually had checked that already. The cable is not holding it up. I removed the cable and checked the slide. It goes down as far as it does with or with out the cable attached and the idle screw all the way backed out. This one has me puzzled.
@@cee169 mine is doing the same exact thing, same engine same problem, the idle isn't unmanageably high, but it's still very high with slide screw out, no leaks either
@@tylerb8284 I ordered pilot jets and they were the wrong ones. I found some on gopowersports I think are correct. I ordered the next 2 sizes up last night. I will try them out when they come. I think the pilot is lean. Pilot jet controls idle to quarter throttle. Mine is also not unmanageable but definitely enough to make the bike creep forward. Are you also running the vm22 copy?
@@cee169 yeah I have the GPS 22mm mikuni, I believe it came with a 130 pilot
First 4:05 am 💯🤣
LOL, the 4.05 A.M was an accident! 😂
Can you please tell me what size the o-ring is mine ripped
Everytime I install a performance carb the first start is always terrifying damn bike almost took off on me. Mine Idled 2x higher than that. Please remember to lift the rear wheels off of the ground
Noob question for choke to be ON its up or down?
The lever up is on
Yeah when I put choke off it stalls but I can adjust the mixture screw and slide screw. Can I ride with choke on or not a good idea?
VERY COOL THANK YOUUUUUU !!!!!!!!!!!!
This guy should be a mikuni carb technician
Thanks!
@@Black66 no problem
Hey Black66 my mini bike turns off when I pute stand it on the kickstand ??
Do you have the low oil sensor in still?
@@MrBonifidehustler87 no
I just spent the whole night messing with mine. It starts when I'm on the gas. I tried this trick but mine still refuses to idle with or without the choke.
Have you checked out the tuning video? ua-cam.com/video/MnQvIlFX8hM/v-deo.html
hey man my pwk24 wont idle it goes way to high in choke and also a little high non choke and i try to adjust it but it just cuts off
Question I have a 212cc hemi is a 28mm carbulator to big for it
Yes 28 is too big unless you have some monster sized valves. 22mm is perfect for standard valve sizes. Could go up to 24mm with big cam and valves
@@baldbutton1983 I have done 18Lbs springs on stock valve drag pipe arc flywheel 32 degree timing advance no governor oil pressure out should I buy vm22 or 24mm
@@unknwnoutcast4388 I have a similar setup and tried both 22 (round slide) and a 24 Chinese Amazon (flat slide) carb and I am in love with the 24 flat slide. Amazing throttle response and has so much power over the 22 with my experience. Flat slide feels racy and the 22 feels good for cruising🤷♂️ hard to explain but that’s the best I can put it
@@jamesharaldson375 thanks brother I’ll be buying the vm24 thanks again any jets change or the same that came with it?
@@unknwnoutcast4388 No prob! And yeah it did come with 1 pilot jet, 1 jet needle, and 2 main jets of different sizes in the box but the stock setup worked perfectly fine for me. I believe it’s called a “Maikuni” PWK carb. You’ll need to buy a predator 212 flatslide manifold for it, a 2” ID UNI air filter, and I used some basic radiator hose lying around as a manifold hose
Good video As always
Mine is still doing it and I set the slide all the way down and cut the gas off on the carburetor adjustment screw and the engine still wants to take off maybe it’s the Float 😢😢
