    Great video Fernando! Very well edited, you are doing a great job on the videos o/. I'm going to Germany for work, and I'm very excited to face these new challenges, and I feel exactly how you said, jumping into the nothingness to see what happens! I'm tired of the security issues in my country (Brazil), being robbed, life threatened. Thanks for sharing your experiences!

    Cool video. It's also refreshing to watch a narrative of someone being aware of their privileges and how this is handy in some process. Really liked that you pointed out the struggle others might face, especially if they come from Latin American countries.

      Absolutely man! Important to be self aware, but in city's like Munich, there are so many students and immigrants that I feel that it doesn't really make a difference, but equally you never know

Das Video ist super geschnitten und die Struktur ist sehr kurzweilig und informativ gestaltet. Ich hoffe du bekommst noch wesentlich mehr Zuschauer und ich freu mich auf mehr Beiträge von dir 👍

    Great video Fernando, I agree. experience almost the same... Learning the language is important but not until it takes up the main priority reason the quality value of you as person.. especially in professional field it can be not that hard.... It is a process in almost everything... Sometimes it is doable but sometimes it is very looooooong process indeed... 😅😅

    i'm from trinidad and tobago, we're actually neighbours with venezuela. sadly, our country has a huge crime rate, close to that of venezuela, and it's almost impossible to get a job without having connections to pull strings for you. i'm only 19, but i really want to move to germany. is it hard to get a job even without a university degree, but with high school/secondary education qualifications? also have you noticed any discrimination from the german population, i am a bit worried that i might face racism because of my indo-caribbean roots. keep up the great videos btw, much love from trinite y tobago :)

    • @fernandotabora
      @fernandotabora  4 місяці тому +1

      No man is not hard. I don't have higher education and I worked a lot in different jobs. The only thing you need is to know really good German. If you can work hard and now german then you should be fine.
      In big city's like Munich or Berlin there is no discrimination but in small towns even I can get discriminated.
      Just move to a big city. But be prepare to work hard and always invest in your education and to grow and never stay in the same level

      My grandmother move after or during the war and then landed in Brazil, from Brazil she move to venezuela., I can apply for an Italian nationality because of her. Not that hard to be honest, but you have to go through a process as anything in life

      Haha, no worries. I'm glad you're Italian! Well, we'll see. Please consider a video on The Netherlands. Up until recently, I had my eyes set there. Then I saw Not Just Bikes release a video on Freiburg. I was like, that's the city! I want to live somewhere without a a car. I'd be curious if you considered The Netherlands. And how you came upon choosing Germany other than what relatives and friends said.

      @ShelterDogs I love that channel! Well man, don't really. I really like munich because of what I have said on my vidoes. But also because is very clean and there is a lot of thing that can be done here where you can grow if you want to. I see that there is a market to innovate an be disruptive and that's why I am still here. But let's see. Next year will be the year where I put all my ideas into a test.
      But overall life here is great 👍

    German here, well the one who is also danish, but life circumstanses make me to move to Germany in my late 20'. First of all you live in a big City (it looks like München) and that's not the whole Germay. That might be also a reason why they did not care if you speak german: big touristic place, BUT in most cases (and in germany) it is not easy to find a job. Germans, who are finishing engineering at the university search for YEARS for position. It is a lie, that Germany needs people to work, Government is simply shitting around to show EU that still is a economical power (which is not). I think you have been just lucky.
    60k is not a high salary (yet it is consider to exceptionally good salary), compared to how much taxes you have to pay, rent, food and media. Expecially in München where you have to pay minimum 2000 euro for fx 60m2, not counting media at the end of the year. But as I said, 60K it is considered a high salary, and most people earn like 40k.
    My salary dropped drastically since I am in germany (I am programmer) and I am more and more annoyed how much everything cost. The prices are almost the same as in Denmark, and our salaries are twice as much as in DE.
    If you count for good job with the possibilities to get promoted- sorry sweety but you must know perfect german, be german or American 🤣
    Germany is in the crisis now, completely being lost in technological world, being behind with shitty cars, where all of the world shift to electrics. Innovation and technology it is something that Germans are scared of and it will be something that is already pushing this country way behind when it comes to economy.
    Your language is probably not at the best level, therefore they do not speak with you german- sorry, but I am honest.

    • @fernandotabora
      @fernandotabora  6 місяців тому +2

      I don't know man, I don't fully agree. But I hear you.
      I am not an engineer and I just googled an avarage price. But 60k is not bad. For sure I know that to live comfortably in munich you need 3k or a bit more.
      Over all is way cheaper than the US, and also remember that we had covid and also inflation, that push the prices up. But still with that is not bad. Could be way worse, belive me.
      It also depends on your mindset and what are you doing to earn more. I have learn that it all depends on where you position yourself and with who. There is money out there, you just have to get to know the right people and fully send it.
      As I Said on my video. I move here with nothing and still manage to have a great life in Germany with out any degrees.
      I am not trying to be negative against you or anything, but I do still think there is way more possibility here and you just have to sometimes work harder to get where you want to be. Obviously sometimes the market is not optimal, but is all about highs and lows.
      Also regarding the german part, I think it's because of my accent and they just want to be polite, but I respect your thought.
      Finally I would say, go to a 3r world country and see for yourself that even do germany is not perfect for you, is for sure better then a lot of countries in the world

    • @fernandotabora
      @fernandotabora  6 місяців тому +1

      Also, you don't have to pay minimum 2k for an apartment, I have friends paying less. I pay 400 euros for my room. It's all about being patient and finding good deals.
