"You didn't see that email? You have to keep on top of these things you know! Yes that's right, the email that was sent 20 mins ago." - my manager this morning

Meanwhile, your manager takes two weeks to respond to an email because "they just don't have any cycles to spare." Not that I expect a response to an email the same day, ever. That's what chat messages or phone calls are for.

Meanwhile, the email you sent you boss takes a week to be responded to, and doesn't give you any answers.

Email is just a tool to download work/responsibility or self promote.

The trouble is, sometimes people are telling the truth when they say these things, so you can never tell until it's time for them to follow through (or not).

Family environment always means underpaid and working overtime for free.

Well, I like an employer that has regard for its people and it's rare enough, but I don't actually want one that puts people "before" profit, or before whatever the mission is. We're there to do a job and achieve the goal, not to sit around and be happy. What I want is an employer that focuses on its goals, employs good people toward that end, and treats them decently because that's the best way to achieve the goal. Which in the private sector is the profit. "People before profit" might be intended to mean that, but that's not what the words actually say- they promise a prioritization which is both a lie and inherently foolish if it were true.

If you don’t like your situation, the only person who can improve it is yourself. Don’t blame the system, just tell you boss to F off and start your own company. The difference then, is that you will get to choose who you have to show respect to.

You can tell she's a villain.
    By the accent.
