Keep in mind, the underlying motivation it to provoke a violent reaction to over reach and anti Constitutional laws.

How does a person verify that the local police department or sheriff's office has entered the pistol sales record information into the MiPISTOL database within 10 days of receipt, and that same has been forwarded to the Michigan State Police?
You have 10 days to turn it in. The sheriff's department has longer to get the registration filled. Hope this helps.
Time to move from michigan
That is a reasonable option, however I believe we should fight for our God given rights and influence a change here at OUR home state.
