Nononono, THIS one is more mature and sophisticated.🍾🥂 The Singer one sounds too desperate and even a bit sappy🍭 to ME. The original orchestral work is sheer beauty and, only my opinion here, signals a need to navigate a thin line between sensitivity and rawness of passion. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, it's just my preference.😊

In this performence they had some technical problems. During the live broadcast we could hear a lot of noise and talking from backstage and we could hardly hear Dimash sing.
This video was cleaned up before they (soundproducers)put it out.😊
Dimash is secretly in love with Lara Fabian.. to this day.. and everyone knows it. His love for her goes deeply into time.. way back.. like his love for Michael.. and his love for the monument of the beautiful music they made as well.. back to when he was a young boy and he mesmerized about what he might do to achieve the love and acceptance of all those who listened to their music. Please don't compare him to those who he loves.. for his way is only meant to capture our acceptance.. the same way he and we captured the music of the ones he loved.

It's always so disappointing when a fairly new reactor to Dimash chooses to review this particular performance of this song as opposed to the stellar one he did on the Chinese reality show in 2017 which has sometimes been called the most spectacular vocal performance of all time. That being said, as a fellow American I am pleased to see your willingness to discover singing talent from around the world.
I prefer the Singer version also. Dimash's English was better than Singer's in 2017, but it seemed filled with more emotion on the show. What I really loved about the performance on The Singer was the orchestration and the background singers. It was forceful and just so great. To throw this tidbit in, I loved his performance of "Unforgettable Day" on Singer 2017 than the Gakku performance. There seem to be more Americans reacting to Dimash these days. I don't even listen to the radio anymore because of what's being passed off as music these days. I would love to see and hear music written for Dimash and Jennifer Hudson. Perhaps Igor Krutoy and David Foster could come up with something out of this world for the tqo of them. She has a dynamic voice and range... Barbara Streisand would pair well with Dimash also.

I love Dimash but I have never cared for Adagio either this or the singer version. And he was young here, I think his voice has become richer, warmer and more beautiful as he aged. Like Salmatua or Passione
Gr8 post - even his speaking voice is more mature & richer now & I've heard other Dimash fans say this so there is def something to that..... like you, I adore Dimash but I'm not really a fan of this genre - I listen more from a technical POV..... I felt either D's Mic or the Sound Engineer really beat this performance up..... I enjoy the singer performance b/c his Breath Control was jaw dropping.... & of course, emotionally he just gives us everything he has every single time..... Cheers!

I wish everyone would stop telling people who are trying to discover dimash, that they're doing it the wrong way! Let them discover him anyway they want to, there's no right or wrong or better or worse way to experience dimash.
To me, Lara's version is far more emotional and the diction and enunciation is perfect. Yes, Dimash is more desperate, and he uses it as a launching pad for his range and technique, which is refreshing for him, because most of his material is seemingly written for him and his unique skill set, and Lara wrote this I believe before he was born. I'm not picking a winner, because they are really two seperate songs, but Lara's Italian Adagio is yet another excursion.
Adagio [aˈdaːdʒo] ("G" pronunced as in "judge") is the slow part of a musical composition. The idea of the song is that he keeps waiting and hoping while everything seems to go slowly as in an adagio played on a piano.

The version in chinese competition is better, because he risked to go out from the show.so he did that version of adagio with more intensity and passion. That version is out of this world
