    • @ellea3344
      @ellea3344 5 років тому +2

      FullMetalJacket What didn't he lie about? 7 men ambushed those 4 SEALs, and Luttrell didn't shoot anyone, was not shot, and failed to render aid to his wounded teammates. It was Luttrell's FIRST combat experience, and in his own words, he cracked, put his weapon down, stopped fighting, and was a coward. Luttrell's book "Lone Survivor" is a work of fiction. The fictional Hollywood movie is actually more accurate than the book. But all of that lying is second, to the fact that Luttrell exploited, and then abandon the man that saved his life, to keep his lies about ORW from being exposed.

    • @MrTigre6
      @MrTigre6 5 років тому +21

      @@ellea3344 , fortunately, for those of us who SAW Luttrell's wounds, and KNOW what happened, we can confidently say that you are full of SHIT. Every one of the SEALS on that mountain that day was shot, or "fragged" multiple times with "through and through wounds". For you, that means a projectile goes in one side of your body and comes out the other side. Marcus sustained a broken back, fractured pelvis, severe facial damage, broken nose, one thumb destroyed, and numerous frag wounds. I have dealt with you before, and its amusing to hear YOUR side of the story. Mike Murphy was shot four times. Axe and Dietz were shot numerous times. Where is your PROOF that Marcus was unwounded?? Maybe the DOZENS of trauma surgeons and trauma nurses, and Rangers who rescued Marcus, and ALL the personnel who SAW Marcus's wounds "made it all up"??? Why don't you tell us all about YOUR military combat experience?? As far as the book, Marcus was TOLD by the Navy to cooperate on the book so the story of these brave men could be told. As far as Gulab, the US military spent a tremendous amount of money to bring him to the US and Marcus spent a lot of his money also. We have been through this before with your psychotic musings. You are too STUPID to understand WHY Gulab wanted to return to AFG, because you know NOTHING about the Afghan people!! The unadulterated horseshit that spews from your mouth proves how incredibly naive you are. You are the same stupid bitch that claimed Marcus could not have crawled seven miles, and I told you to google "Hugh Glass". Did you do that, Ms "Stacy E"?? You have made a complete FOOL of yourself. Grow up, Missy!! No one owes you shit!!

    I've watched several interview/vids or Mr. Luttrell. Heroic story. I can't imagine what this man has been through and I doubt the movie made based on his experience holds a candle to what is true. One thing I noticed in his interviews is that discipline basically started at home. Although preliminary SEAL training may have started at 14 with a neighborhood mentor, it started at home. You raise your children to respect, learn what respect means, value it, and this is the type of result society gains from it.

      tanakattack No. Because I can read. Because I have internet access. Because other people WERE there. Because I listened to several of his paid speeches and his story gets embellished differently each time. His story doesn't match reality, or intel reports, or science, or other eye witness accounts... Because I know where Afghanistan is. Because I can read a map. Because Mohammed Gulab was there. Because they left the 30ft fast rope on the ground and easily tracked boot prints in mud. Because they didn't carry a radio that would work because it was "too heavy" to carry a single mile. Because Luttrell acts like he was a POW for a day, when he was never captured or taken by them, and he doesn't talk about it because any details would be a complete lie. Because Luttrell is filthy rich, retained and speaks through his lawyer when people question his sea story, does not even mention Gulab's name in his speeches, tried to pay Gulab off to not speak to any journalists, did not promote Gulab's book, lobbied to have Gulab's asylum blocked to the US... and while Gulab finally received asylum no thanks to Luttrell, he lives on food stamps and has no means to work.
      Luttrell failed. His team failed. Their commanders and mission planning failed. Literally everything about the mission Operation Red Wings was a total failure. The story should be about mistakes made and lessons learned, and showing the heroic actions of Gulab (a Muslim, and proud officer of the Mujaheddin that defeated the Soviets, who put humanity and honor before himself and rescued and protect Luttrell and gave up everything in doing so), not about jerking off Luttrell as some "elite" hero during every interview and paid speech he gives.
      What do you call it when a soldier puts down their weapon and stops fighting and fails to provide aid to his fellow solider, as a fkn medic no less? Article 99 - Misbehavior before the Enemy.
      Why do YOU believe Luttrell? Because he said he crawled 7 miles at night? You might want to click the link below and learn how to lread a map.

    I wasnt there to know what happened but the details of how many Taliban there were range from 7-200. I personally find it hard to believe that 4 seals would lose a battle against 7 Taliban. I also think that if Marcus was someone who would "run from a fight" then his seal teammates would have known that about him and he wouldn't be out there. The other details about what happened with how he heard about the helo and when are very hard to remember when going through an ordeal that he went through. 3 friends killed in front of him shot up and beaten down from falling down the mountain And getting asked questions about when did this happen where was this, how many? Everyone else examines his answers and rips him apart if there's a discrepancy. If he is a liar and coward like people claim then I would hope that the intelligence of our navy and his teammates that he spent everyday with would have already known that he is not someone to be on a mission like that. But he was there and he went back after he healed up. Doesn't sound like someone who doesn't want to fight. Now he's telling his story and it has inspired millions of people and probably caused alot to join up. The people calling him a liar and profiteer just seem angry but no matter what his story and book, the movie, his going around the country and speaking about it has only been great for the military, civilians, and the country as a whole. People trying to tear him down just look like you are haters who don't respect what he went through or for the people who lost their lives. Taking the positive message he is trying to send and turning it into a negative. Thank you to all the men and women who serve and everyone in operation red wings

    Powerful! Everyone should watch. What an amazing man and testimony to the human will and the importance of discipline and proper training. Marcus says he's not a hero, but he truly is. Most people have no idea what SEALS do. In my 20 yr. US Navy career I had the opportunity to support the SEALS on a few occasions and had a good friend and classmate who is a SEAL whom I got to serve with. One of the most memorable was the time we dumped off a SEAL platoon into shark infested, murky water, with strong cross currents, more than 2 nautical miles off the coast of an undisclosed location at sunset. Although I was in top physical condition and consider myself an above average swimmer, there's no way I could have made that swim with them as they submerged into the murky depths, disappearing in seconds. But most memorable is the tremendous fear factor of putting myself in those conditions. We steamed off and didn't see them again some weeks later out in the open sea. They were covered with bumps, bruises, bites, etc and never said a word about what they did. I only heard one simple comment. " Yeah, that was a little rough, but we sure had fun ". God bless our SEALS and other service SPEC OPS and all branches of service.

He could've joined a SpecOps unit in another branch afterwards years later though.

      Nothing - they did not do anything to him. Luttrell is full of shit. He doesn't explain it because it didn't happen. He doesn't explain how the insurgents took him from Gulab's protection, what happened other than generic bullshit about that's how he found out about the MH-47 heli being shot down, or how Gulab got him back. It didn't happen. He want to act like he was a POW for a day. It's such a crock of shit.
      "Before you exploit this country... I understand what that means." He is exploiting the shit out of this country, and he knows it.
      Maybe if Luttell's father had taught him something about love and compassion, Luttrell would not so easily have abandon Gulab for his personal gain.

    It is out he fled. The look is not PTSD the guilt from lying. He walked out did not crawl out and had all most full mags... HE walked to the rescue helicopter did not crawl. AXE was found 10 days later Lutrell Team leader near the extraction point the SEALS withheld that information of the extraction point for 8 days to cover up the failed mission. Axe was only dead 2 days from his wounds. may could have been saved. Lutrell lied about them all being dead he fled as they were asking him to help as the fire fight started. This was Lutrell's first mission first fire fight and the coward ran. POS. There was only 10 to 12 enemy they got surprised. ..He says first time I thought about this is the first time he lied... he pauses while telling some of the story to remember his lies. SHAMEFUL. Look around the true Seals are releasing the real story that was covered up.
    Yes more to his rescue. 2 helicopters got shot down and were left a lot died it was a fiasco. The SEALS pulled off thier best people from the rescue helicopters because they knew they were heat seeking missle launchers in the area.. And of course the rescue team of Vanilla military the regular military flew into a shit show,.
