    Hiya, Sam! I always enjoy your videos because I learn alot from you. You're easy on the eyes (compliment not a flirt lol) and you don't have a "ROBOTIC" personality. I can related to you alot. I used to be a streamer on Mixer until their shutdown on July22nd,2020. 2 days before that I had neck surgery. So, I fell into a deep depression. I decided to focus on my recovery and ME. I come 1st. All the while, I missed streaming terribly. Just recently, slooowly I am getting back into streaming on Twitch. I am in the process of rebuilding my stream (and brand). I'm not very tech savvy and I somewhat get overwhelmed when tech stuff,especially when they don't work on my stream. I am still, in a way, an analog chick living in a hi tech world! lol That's one issue. You mentioned having direction. I feel, I do know what direction I want to go in,ever aince I was streaming on Mixer. THAT IS,my mission for streaming the specific thing that makes me want to be a streamer on Twitch, a UA-camr/content creator is that I strongly feel that I have a platform by giving inspiration,hope and support for those that are struggling with addiction,alcoholism,and mental illness. Because I have been in recovery from crack and heroin since 2004;alcoholism since 2011. I want to educate those that are going through the struggles about the disease for themselves or if friends or loved ones that want to help but they don't know what to do or at they even feel hopeless. Addiction/mental illness just does those that are in the throws of it,it effects EVERYBODY around the addict,alcoholic,etc. The last thing is I want to do is to build a community that is positive,supportive,inspiring,uplifting, unjudgemental for those struggling or even if they are in recovery themsleves do what they can as well or need some maintenance to keep their recovery. Definitely,give back to the community for individuals and charities,such rehabilitation programs or other organizations. The artist dirction, I'm lost on. I want a certain look and feel ans it seems like I'm lost. Lastly, THE HUGE PROBLEM IS TIME MANAGEMENT. I know it takes alot of discipline. I need to change that. If you have any other suggestions, what I need to do, it would grealt be appreciate it. Thank you for doing what you do and most of all being you! YOU ROCK, SAM!

    I have been making some content but I by no means have went viral on any platform but I have been streaming for a year and all my growth has come from Twitch I am trying to push for Partner this year and sitting on 60 - 70 viewers I have achieved this with being consistent on the platform very welcoming and real interactive

  • @MuirDragonneTV
    @MuirDragonneTV 2 роки тому +2

    About targets: Totally agree! There have been a few viewers in my stream ask me "Why aren't you Partnered yet?" My response has always been "I don't care about getting partnered on Twitch. All I want is to grow a community of people who believe in giving back to the world and see the same faces/names in the chat with each stream."
    Quick question regarding short and long videos for you, Sam. As a full time carer, I don't have enough time to do 2-3 long form vids per week AND 3-4 shorts per day. It's seriously all I can do to get 1 long video out per week and 1 short per day on this channel (sports). On my gaming YT channel, I can manage 1 or 2 shorts per week and maybe 1 long video as well (in addition to streaming 3 days a week). For those of us who literally don't have enough hours in the day, what would you suggest? I really want to grow as a Content Creator, but my responsibility as a carer has to come first. :)

    • @SamWoodhall
      @SamWoodhall  2 роки тому

      Totally, respect you and thank you for doing what you can for people. What I can suggest is batching. Batch film your videos in one go, utilise your streams to produce content in and film videos while you stream. Film like 2 videos in a day and you're ahead by two weeks.
      For gaming content, game all day on a Saturday and collect as much footage as you can and then batch edit when you're home from work. Then schedule that content and drip feed it.
      It's very possible to make a career doing this kind of stuff, you just have to change how you make the content. I know it's hard with full time jobs and major responsibilities. I'd recommend checking out the video I plugged at the end of this one to really understand how you can utilise your time ua-cam.com/video/MzE8nnPeBQs/v-deo.html
      Big respect to you dude, thank you for dropping a comment!

    Hewllo sam! Love ur videos, and I'd also love ur input on something related to the video. You say (as many others do) that people should try to grow their twitch channel focusing on a specific category of games. I get that, and on UA-cam i have niched down and I have 3 youtube channels, each dedicated to a particular genre of games: a horror channel, a moba channel and a gdr channel, and they are really growing. I have 15 000, 5000 and 300 subs (the horror one is just a month old). I'd love to be able to make live content for all 3 youtube channels on twitch. I would, though, have to stream different cateogries of games, and basically address different audiences every slot (sort of: sometimes the moba people go over to the gdr channel, or the horror people go over to the gdr channel; but it's kinda rare, usually my audience doesn't mix a lot). So: is it allright to bring all these types of audiences togheter on Twitch? Or should I differentiate, by opening multiple Twitch accounts or streaming some things on twitch and some others on youtube? Sorry for the long text mate, I hope u'll give it a read!

    Sam, I realize all comments below me are singing praises about this video and it IS a good one.
    However, to be honest, I started becoming overwhelmed the longer I watched it.
    You see, I am closer to age 60 than not. So, posting on Tiktok, creating 2 - 3 videos per week etc,
    is too much for me. It's really important that a person is aware of what they can handle and
    you obviously can handle quite a bit. But, for me, streaming twice a week and creating 1 - 2 edited videos from my VODS
    is where I'm at in my content creating journey.
    Blessing to you and all those who are striving to grow.
    May we reach our goals!

      This is how *I'd* do it and what I'd focus on. Your mileage my vary and please don't take this as a gospel "do this or you won't succeed". This is just my strategy for how I would grow on the platform. Please do what you can and only do what you're able to. Don't compare yourself to anyone but yourself and your own progress. I hope that clears up my intention with this video.

    The best way to grow on twitch is to make friends with others. One thing i cannot stand is certain channels act stuck up and will not allow even their own mods to mention other streamers... most of my friends on twitch we all shout each other out all the time even when they are not there.... perfect example.. 8 bit drummer, that guy's mod will block ppl that request songs in the chat... he literally does song requests... but they block you if you post it in the chat even without a warning now.. when your mods are the gulag it is not a comfy place to be for everyone. Make your channel comfy for everyone, it counts a lot

Your videos will be what they will come over from, and they should be the physical workouts. Your streams should be your brand building and relationship focus. Create Shorts for quick fitness tips while you stream. Quick workouts you can do throughout the day. Answering questions about health from your viewers and using that to become content.

    I am a student, so what would you recommend in terms of streaming and making content when I'm at University 3 days a week?

    • @SamWoodhall
      @SamWoodhall  2 роки тому +2

      Batching content on your free days would be what I’d recommend. Film 2-3 videos in a day and release those videos one per week until you’re able to scale up and make more. Focus on your studies but take advantage of your free time. Stop partying at university is what I’d recommend too 😜

    Question is, why partner when you can do stuff on both. If growing on twitch is about funnelling people in from other places, why limit yourself.
    Just a thought I had looking at the thumbnail

      Because some people have that goal. You can make the strategy as flexible to your goals as you want. It's a framework for growth, not set in stone rules.

    2-3 long videos per week and 2-3 shorts per day.
    That seems too much?
    It will be quantity over quality?
