Bobcat in the Mountain Laurel, Star of the County Down by Timothy Seaman & Ann Robinson

www.timothyseam... During a rehearsal Timothy Seaman and Ann Robinson of Virginia Sky made this informal video of one of their favorite repertoire pieces: a medley of two Celtic pieces. First, their version of a Jacobite Rising tune they have renamed 'Bobcat in the Mountain Laurel' (its original name was 'They Stole My Wife Last Night' --- bitter theme!) for Timothy's album on the Pine Wind Music label, Virginia Wildlife, followed by the famous Scotch-Irish tune 'Star of the County Down.' If you hear an improvisational melody going in your head during the rhythmic chord arpeggios of two verses, that's called 'The Osprey Returns!' (Timothy played such an improv on the album version.) The harp is a Dusty Strings FH34, and the dulcimer is a Dusty Strings D600 (1999).
