I used to knit but don't do much of that anymore. My cats are my stress reliever. Nothing more peaceful than gently rubbing a cat's belly ( luckily I have 2 who love their bellies rubbed). I turned 60 this past January, made a move with my family from WA state to Idaho, and am living (temporarily) in a 16ft trailer until we find a cute little home. My passion for knitting helps me get through it all…the stress of finding a home and the living in a small trailer. ☺️ The positive is that I am able to knit outdoors (it is the summer) amidst the beautiful Ponderosa Pines of North Idaho where my knitting has taken on another level of creativity and satisfaction for me. Margaret, I love your necklaces…do you make them? Perhaps you could give us a lesson on how to create one. Love you, Margaret! You are beautiful inside and out.
At 65 I can't go for walks but I can ride a bicycle! I ride through parks. I enjoy bird feeding which turns into bird watching. I'd love to take up portrait drawing again but I'm not ready yet. I do enjoy the adult coloring books.
Thx for inspiring so many of us. I enjoy getting " tossed aside furniture or items" and refurbishing and decorating with them in my home or finding them a new home. However, I am now trying to declutter and downsize so have had to put a halt on thrifting for now 🤣.

I am enjoying writing my memoirs at the moment. I attended a writing course at the beginning of the year and now feel more confident in putting the finishing touches to ' my story' which I began awhile back.

Yes here in the USA people grown and children draw on the sidewalks with all the pastel chalks! Hop scotch games, flowers, animals, Happy Birthday! I always stopped to read them they make me smile! Taking walks,eating out every now and then. Making memory wire bracelets and stretch bracelets. As a retired Nursing Assistant who had a client who taught another caregiver and I to make jewelry it was fun!I love it because I always had ideas of jewelry I wanted but couldn’t find, now I can get the colors and shapes I want and make what I want. I gift people jewelry and barter for jewelry. My son works in the Hospital and he asked me to make extra bracelets to give to patients he met along the way. I’m learning to crochet from You Tube tutorials! It’s fun and it’s like having our own personal teacher. Years ago my son brought home some oil paints and I had never painted before but sat down and painted a dove flying with a leaf in its mouth! Turned out good! I think the trick is to just try it! You showed a sample of wallpaper you loved.Have you thought of getting a room divider and covering it with your pretty choice of wall paper! Just an idea, but if you can’t have that wall you can have a room divider with it on it! Thank you for all your videos! They are inspirational and like I told my son that this is the first time I am embracing turning 76 in a few days instead of thinking about my younger days. These are days ahead of us! My Mom lived to almost 100 years of aga; and what she would do was to knit beautiful gifts for her many grachildren and great grandchildren for Christmas gifts. Before the Covid I, myself belonged to two different knitting groups where everything we made went to needy adults and children. The yarn was supplied. I have now turned to other interest, being that the knitting groups have disappeared in thin air. This is very much needed for the homeless...people in shelters.
Hi Pretty Lady! My hobbies are gardening, reading about flowers and botany. I love true adventure stories and mysteries. I love to crochet and sew. Dabbled in painting and drawing too. I had fun painting birds in my kitchen. Song birds perched on branches with berries. I then hung a couple of real bird houses on the branches. It turned out very nice, and it cheers me during the cold winters here in Idaho. I enjoy making floral door wreaths and enjoy any type of crafting, really.
Ah, CHALK! During Covid, I started chalking out colorful hopscotch games on the street in front of our house. So many people were walking for exercise then, and I was pleased they took advantage of the games. (I'm in the USA.)
So many creative people out there! I sew, read on my own and for two book clubs, garden, play the piano, make cards and junk journals, and learn from family members who are also creative.
I played piano as a child but havent played for years. Now i have bought a keyboard and find i remember to read music and have fun writing my own little songs
I used to like to knit and do quilting reading sewing by hand. I also like watching the birds. I having done to many of these lately but watching the birds. I used to also like crafting, and watercolor in.
It sometimes feels as if I have too many hobbies! Reading; daily word and math puzzles; crochet; embroidery; diamond art; and a new art form (to me) called Zentangles. It’s a good thing I’m retired!
I'm with you! In retirement have time to do what I like. Flower and some vegetable gardening. That evolved into adding a Japanese garden out back. Gradually evolved over years as new ideas popped up. Helping others, with whatever they need. Dad with dementia, divorced friend who hated her kitchen color and didn't know how to paint, a listening ear, branch with friends (am collecting ones with similar interests that like to DO not just talk) as seemed I haven't had time for friends in the past, renovating a 1903 victorian house we bought, maintenance of our ten acre property we live at, updating our camper by glacier Park when I can get there, activities with grandchildren, crafting and occasional vendor at shows, cooking binges trying new recipes, and decluttering years of stuff I've collected and inherited... Some of it sounds like work, but I've always enjoyed working and now can work for myself. I've always read at night and am currently focusing on self improvement. Continuum to grow...
Even when my children were growing up, I taught them different art/craft things. Now that they are adults they each have their own hobbies. My son was going through some stressful things at work and I encouraged him to find a hobby, and he took up fishing which he loves.
My plants outside and fun with strawberries keep me busy. Decorating and cooking. Margaret my daughter does that kind of painting but don’t know the name of it.

Soooo I don't know if its a hobby per se, but I LOVE interior design I love crystals crystal cats and spheres candles holders etc and if I had a bigger place I'd get a lot more but none the less don't want it to be over kill so I keep it in moderation:) I Love to cook and I Love puzzles mainly figuring out with all the letters how many words you can find. Like Scrabble, for instance, not too exciting, but there you have it, LOL 😊❤

I have enjoyed many hobbies; now trying to figure out which to make part of my regular routine. My go -to has always been reading (especially sci-fi/speculative fiction, mystery, young adult, and some nonfiction.) I also love ceramics: very tactile; I can lose myself in the process. Any useful and reasonably attractive object which results is a bonus. I enjoy mending (very, very basic sewing.) I also love to crochet, though I haven’t done it in years. I recently discovered scratch-art books, which I find quite therapeutic. I spend entirely too much time on UA-cam these days, though I’m happy to say that I’ve found several channels with very positive chat communities, and I’ve been learning interesting things along the way. I love to travel. In the spring I did a month-long solo trip to France (Aix-en-Provence and Strasbourg) - very empowering, and helpful in resetting my expectations re: physical limitations of traveling now vs. in my 20’s-30’s. I love to learn languages. I speak French with some proficiency, though my vocabulary is a shadow of what it once was. I’ve taken some German and some Russian, though not for many years. Would love to learn more, travel more…. I am easily overwhelmed by having too many choices. All too often, this results in my not doing anything in particular. Right now I’m learning all I can on Procreate. I started with watercolor on real paper and drawing in 2021. The digital art learning curve is steep but one that slowly but surely I am feeling comfortable with. It’s really fun. I also read, crochet and volunteer at our regional food bank.
First of all, I’m glad to say I turn 60 tomorrow. Secondly, this subject came up on a forum on Facebook also. For years, I loved playing with Paint Shop Pro online. I also love studying Astrology, & take an online course every now & then. Also have been studying Pythagorean Numerology for over 20 years now & love that. I also love doing online surveys for money. I also get free things to test & keep once in awhile. The most recent one is a Shark Matrix Robot Vacuum. Hobbies are a great way to be creative and some are lucrative as well.😉🦁
