Really really liking the more raw content and realism thats been coming out of you lately. Not that you've ever come up short in the world of what there is to learn about orchids and the science of botany. But, what I mean is.. That kind of honesty, without needing to be sorry, though maybe a bit cynical, is something I appreciate more and more these days. (Then again... I've always valued the punch of truth vs keeping it clean and maybe that's just because I was raised with it..) ... When did nonsense and instant gratification become such a sought after endeavor? Orchids are beautiful and magical BECAUSE of the complexity and because of the absence of any absolutes. At least for me. If I could research about them for a week and know everything... I honestly doubt I'd have the passion I do. But this search for a quick fix and a miracle and the idea of there being only one way...is starting to make me sick. Its not just orchids , but all things!!! I feel it happened all at once. And 90% of the output that you discover has no reasoning or logical explanation.. not even experience...
That being said... though there is sooooo much conflicting data out there.. it is possibly also because of this overflow of chatter that those with something to say, and knowledge to share..that much louder and their information more powerful. and for this... I am grateful. to have those few who value the love of plants and nature and the FACT THAT WE DONT KNOW ALL THERE IS ABOUT THEM. We get to experience something rare in this way, and that synergy is not possible to achieve with a hack or a closed mind. It is learned and it is only ever earned.
Sorry for the full length edition novel
    .. plainly put...
Thanks for being so real, for real o_-

Thank you so much , we need to let people know there are a thousand ways to skin a cat , but the cat would probably prefer if we didn't 😁 🤣
I understand where you are coming from just about all we see these days are 20 year old trying to tell us how we should live , what is best for our 'mental health' , as their vast life experience has taught them 😉
Most are just doing it as a payday as the more dramatic and controversial and easier it is to do something the way they say ( even if it does not work ) the more it will be watched . It seems like the average viewer is not really there to learn anything but just hanging around all those channels for their daily "Soapie" fix .
OOPs I should get off my soap box too 🤣🤣🤣
I think the truth about orchids is the more we know about them the more we realize there is still yet to learn . I too love the fact that so many different people from so many different places can do so many different things to them and come up with the same amazing results . I love hearing how different people care for their orchids there are often things we never thought about that can make things easier or better for us .
Thank you for being a part of this community . This is what makes all of this so much fun . Thank you 💕🫂💕

Fertilising weakly weekly makes so much sense. I can't recall which youtuber mentioned the following: that after watering the orchid with weak fertiliser, wait 5-10 mins for maximum absorption, then flush the orchid with eg rain water to prevent mineral salts build-up in the medium. This theoretically would happen in nature after the bird droppings are washed off a tree.

This is the amazing thing about orchids is as long as you are feeding you can get great results as long as you are not overdoing it . With high nitrogen ferts just be sure to keep your concentrations low . 👍
