I was a child when Kurt won his first WWF title at the time, it wasn't popular in my household but i mimicked Kurt's victory celebration. I was happy that he won the title.
No question if you watch all 12 months of Kurts PPV's in his first year in the company will make you mark for this guy above all others. Amazing matches, against all the best, through a packed roster, and winning the title at the end. Unreal.
Shows how top a bloke the rock is. Dude just builds guys up and when he works with icons who need a win a bit more, he jobs to them as well and then somehow he always looks good doing it. I reckon the rock is the best bloke in wrestling history.
He really was pretty unselfish for a guy in his position. He could have easily said no, but he was bigger than that. He was willing to lose to Hurricane once, just for a really great joke angle. I get the sense that The Rock is a guy who wants to uplift everyone around him, not walk over people to gratify himself
Just like Ric Flair, The Rock is one of the most selfless guys in the wrestling business and never had a problem doing the job to get guys over, he is a true first class and did an excellent job in putting Kurt Angle on the map as the new world champion
super coolguy society is getting better these days. Thank God. This type of stuff will come out if a big star tries to pull that kind of stuff these days
The Rock had an excellent comprehension of the need for a large stable of top end performers so that the product never got stale. His willingness to lose so many big matches to put guys over hasn't been seen that much in performers of his status.
@@omegaman6494 You do realize heels can win the world title right? Jinder’s win happened long ago now but he was someone with real heat. That was still a moment nobody expected to see happen. Similar with Miz and why not Miz? Do you mean his second win or his first?
Really after SC returned a good amount of people who got over throughout the year were put in the backburner for a while. Then HHH turning back heel dropped Angle to 2nd fiddle despite being the world champion.
Ngl Kurt was the first heel I really genuinely liked to watch and enjoyed, didn’t resent his gimmick. I was so happy that he won since I remember at unforgiven and at fully loaded I got so angry when rock no sold a bunch of finishers. I was so giddy when Kurt won.
All these damn wrestling people that he's friends with, and all these damn wrestling people he hosts podcasts for, and nobody has given a shit about Conrad enough to seriously intervene in his life. He needs a professional spending pretty much all his waking hours with him making him eat right, making him exercise, and teaching him the whole healthy daily regiment and teaching him DISCIPLINE. There's a reason why you almost never see guys THAT obese in their 60's. It's rare to see them in their 50's even. Please, someone help this guy!
HHH ruined the love triangle story because Austin was coming back and he wanted to work with him instead of Angle. They had a terrible blowoff match on Smackdown, and that was it. Totally dropped the ball, and it's 100% Hunter's fault.
During that time period, WWF title was > Olympic Gold (only a handful of people were the champion as compare to now, and mostly megastars). More people have earned Olympic gold vs. WWF title gold
Wasn't Jeff Jarrett also InterEuro champion? SUMMERSLAM99 I think. Then he gave Henry the European championship. I guess they didn't mention him bc he was in WCW

The funny was he got cheer for he was the 1st heel to outright cry after winning title in fact you hardly saw babyface cry when they won.

Was he a top bloke when he smashed mick foleys face with a chair 11 times in a row

@Yuuki Kun knowing mick Foley he didn't care

When kurt first won title I was like wow this guy won all the belts in 1 year.. best 1 year in the business
That segment with Kurt interviewing rock was classic lmao
Sure, Rock. Drink up.
Winning the WWE title in 2000 meant everything. Today i'm not so sure....
I’m sorry but how? Recently, it means a lot. Apart from Lesnar who barely shows up and Goldberg getting it just because, it still means everything.
@@Deathpool_04 Explain jinder mahal and miz getting it

@J D Why do you think so? I’m just trying to understand. Also, I wasn’t the first one who mentioned Jinder and Miz.
Kurt's squeaky chair sounding like a fart adds a lot to this interview.
Bret Hart vs Kurt Angle DREAM MATCH..
SMACKDOWN VS RAW 07 EVERYDAY
Kurt is one of my favorite pro wrestlers and Chris Benoit
Soon as the fans seen a glimpse of Kurt's personality...we loved him 😂
Realizing this is old and I get that but This podcast is the best podcast short sweet entertaining appreciate you guys
i was there at the Pepsi arena in Albany new York for angles first championship win
Kurt had his best run in TNA/Impact
They dropped the ball on the HHH/Angle feud in 2000 matchwise

Kurt Angle always felt like a main eventer. I've never seen him as anything less.

It did seem like HHH was trying to sabotage Angle's title reign a bit, that's the effect of being attached to McMahon family obviously.
Don’t wanna be a wrestler or anything but it would be cool to do an intensity workout with you
I'm sure Conrad would help you get in shape, drop him a line on Twitter.

Haha someone stepped on a frog
Rock put over both Brock and Angle in their rookie years. Such a selfless guy.
To be honest as a kid I thought winning the WWF championship was the biggest thing ever lol.
It was…once upon a time.
Hey guys, just letting you know, this podcast doesn't make me gay, unlike the podcast with Bruce.

Yeah I think DLo brown was the first inter euro champ, he lost it to jarret who then lost it to Henry.
So many wrestlers have said Vince was like a father figure
After angle.said his future was very bright he farts listen lol nah it's just the chair but still
